Poor food. Breakfast was mostly inedible. Supper tasteless. Curry was not worth the name. Although clean it was far too expensive for the accommodation provided (£120 for one person). Bedroom door did not lock. Ladies were nice and welcoming.

Nice little pub in the North Yorkshire moors that were very welcoming to us and our dogs, wonderful service from all the staff. Food was very nice with a decent selection and generous portions. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the area.

We stopped for a few beers and something to eat. The fish and chips are the best we have ever had, better than Whitby. Staff were very friendly, Guiness was as good as it gets. Lovely and warm after a hard mornings walk .All in all a really nice time. We will be back.

Booked this single room as was in the area for a friend's wedding. Paid around £80 for the night including breakfast. Check in was friendly, easy to do and they let me check in early to drop my things off. The room itself was incredibly basic as was the bathroom which had a shower, sink and toilet but the decoration was very old fashioned and reminded me of student accommodation that needed redoing. Staff were great, very friendly and breakfast was nice too but the stay was not worth the £80 I paid - closer to £40-50 including breakfast.

Stayed one night on C2C. Having spent 13 nights staying in varying accommodation, this was by far the worse and one of the most expensive. Staff were welcoming, but the accommodation was pretty grim, tired,shabby, and definitely not worth the pricey sums charged. Feel ripped off - £120 on b&b basis for a room that is way below an acceptable standard.

Very wonderful property in the middle of no where. We loved the evening meal. The area is so charming. It’s like a fairytale town. The staff was warm and accommodating.

Nice stay for two tired and hungry coast to coast walkers. Room was clean, shower nice & bed comfy. Slept well. Pub food downstairs did take a while but was good. Breakfast was good and catered to GF and vegetarian. Overall stay = happy customer :)

Disappointing stay. Bathroom was grotty with an intermittent horrendous stench coming from the plumbing as other rooms flushed toilets, cold water turned hot, food average in the restaurant, hair in breakfast. Getting chased out the room 40 minutes before check out was a particular bugbear! Wouldn’t go back
