We were greeted by at least 5 staff members waving, upon our arrival, for our 2 night stay at this camp. We were introduced to our Orientation Guide, Moses who sat us down with a cool drink & started immediately discussing the many OUTSTANDING excursions they offered AND was included in our package stay! The inside of the camp lodge is gorgeous with its cathedral canvas ceilings spacious & offered gorgeous indoor/outdoor dining w/a full service bar & lots of reading material & Art Work to view. The continual service was OUTSTANDING to say the least! While having our lunch, we were entertained by the local Mongoose family scurrying about the foliage. The camp has a beautiful pool & bonfire pit. Onto our Tent #1, a bit of a walk along the boardwalk, but very private. Our 2 twin beds were surrounded by a gorgeous netting for mosquitoes, of which we did not encounter as we were there during a drought (no rain since January 2024)! The bathroom included a single vanity, a footed bathtub & we also had a sitting area w/complimentary full service bar, an outdoor shower & our personal plunge pool w/an outdoor relaxation area, ALL overlooking The Elephant Camp's 5,500 acreage! Unfortunately, this tents location did NOT overlook the watering hole, where animals visit during the day to drink. Our first excursion was the Sundowner Jeep Safari ride to the Batoka Gorge, where we were greeted with an OUTSTANDING Sunset view of the gorge AND Hors D'Oeuvres w/various drinks. Along the way, we saw a Cape buffalo herd, a flock of Marabou Storks & some Antelope. Next morning, we did the 6AM Victoria Falls Sunrise Tour with our very informative Guide! These 1.7KM wide & 855' high falls are so MAJESTIC, a must see & one of the Wonders of the World! After that, we had our amazing breakfast at The Lookout Cafe, overlooking the Batoka Gorge, where we were entertained by the screams of the Zipliners & Swing Drop Liners, lol! Afternoon, presented us with the OUTSTANDING opportunity to experience the Elephant Interaction within The Elephant Camp Sanctuary, where we met/interacted/fed, a herd of 5 rescued Elephants!! Evening meant a Sunset Zambezi River "luxury" Cruise which included lots of Hors D'Oeuvres & drinks AND a herd of Hippopotamus that were feeding, fighting & breeching. Also encountered Crocodiles, various birds & an amazing Sunset! Morning, meant not only check-out but our last amazing excursion, the 15 minute "Flight of the Angels" Helicopter Tour over Victoria Falls! OUTSTANDING & so worth it! We had purchased "The Horizons Signature" package, which not only included ALL those excursions, but also a 2 night stay at The Old Drift Lodge, where we went to after The Elephant Camp 2 nights stay. Now, I want to return & this time, bring my spouse!!
