We have stayed at Main Street a few times now and this time we took friends who we have told about the great place we stay and they couldn't believe how great the hotel was and the owner Elodie how helpful she was and made our stay just perfect , the b breakfast is by far the best we have had on our travels and we have travelled to lots of places over the years, If you stay here you must try the tapas

This was our first stay but definitely won’t be our last. Just a one night stay on our way to Bruges but will stay longer in Ypres next time. Elodie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make us comfortable. The room was fantastic as was the breakfast which was delicious! Ypres is a lovely town and although the Menin Gate is still being restored the Last Post is well worth experiencing. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We really didn’t know what to expect and frankly were quite apprehensive as we usually stay in more well known places, but what a wonderful surprise this was. It’s a small, nice looking building located just an easy five minute walk to the main square, but far enough back to be away from the noise and crowds. We were warmly welcomed by the absolutely amazing hand-on owner Elodie, who gets the award for the absolute best hotel manager ever. In fact every single aspect of our two night stay felt as though we were the relatives of Elodie in her own beautiful home. Our bedroom, called Glory, was a good size as was the bathroom, and beautifully furnished and decorated, right down to the amenities which were selected for quality not price, something we wish all hotels did. The bed was very comfortable, the lighting was good, the shower great - everything perfect right down to the very well stocked complimentary mini-bar. Even though we were the only guests Elodie laid out a large breakfast buffet with freshly made bread and perfect fried eggs and bacon. We highly recommend this as the best place to stay in Ypres.

Elodie is the most gracious hostess. She runs a beautiful hotel and clearly takes huge pride in delivering 1st class experience. The room was spacious and immaculate, plentiful towels and toiletries, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, drinks offered on arrival, dinner suggestions were great and appreciated, communication prompt and friendly, breakfast was a feast to the eyes and was simply perfect. Thank you Elodie.

We have just returned from a short break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Elodie did everything she could to make it a memorable occasion, not be forgotten. We had stayed at Main Street before but this was the first time that we had been looked after by Elodie. Her attention to detail within our room was excellent, as were the superb breakfasts. Even helping us to select the restaurant for our celebratory dinner worked a treat! Interestingly, during our stay, other guests expressed similar views. Ypres and the surrounding areas have much to offer and staying at Main Street is the icing on the cake!

This is an absolutely amazing hotel. Elodie is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her. So far have stayed twice this year, in 2 different rooms ... Top & Atelier.. just love it here, hope to be back in December 🤞 such a wonderful place to stay..... Breakfast is deliious, so much choice of hot or cold food... homemade rice pudding, was never a dish we had considered for breakfast before, always have it when we stay now delicious!. The Tapas is a must to have., glorious ..You definitely won't go hungry 😋
