My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night visit to Foyer’s Bay Country House! The owners, Chris and Elly, were the best of hosts! The food was delicious (breakfasts and dinner our second night)! Chris regaled us with lots of stories. Throw your guidebooks away and just ask Elly!!!!! She recommended so many places to see, roads to take, and adventures. Most don’t show up in the books. Loved this place!

Disclaimer: we were not customers. Aggressive. Sarcastic. Lack of social skills. We parked our car close-by in order to access the next-door café. When we returned, a female member of Foyer’s staff had been waiting for us by the bushes. We were confronted with immediate aggression and sarcasm. Evidently, the parking area was designated for country house customers. The indicating sign was small and overgrown with foliage, while the parking area was located directly in front of the next-door café, away from the country house, with no other obvious parking area in sight. Even in conceding that we could have read such signage more carefully, the fact that this woman spoke to us with such immediate hostility and sarcasm, without having any prior interaction with us, reflects disgustingly upon both her and her associated business. We were repeatedly asked “can you read?” and told that our apologies were of no use to her. Anyone with a shed of social skills, much less customer service skills would have known how to politely, but firmly explain to us our wrongdoing. The fact that this woman seemed to have no awareness for how such social practices reflect upon her business, is astounding. She made this sound as if it is a repeated occurrence, in which case I would absolutely suggest that she make updates to her signage, parking spaces, or overall customer service skills, instead of waiting in the bushes to pounce upon and rant at random passer-bys who make small errors.

My family embarked on a 10 day road trip around Scotland and England. At the end of our trip, all of us agreed that our stay at Foyers Bay Country House was our favorite memory of the trip. The beds and rooms were extremely comfortable and the views of the loch and surrounding forest are stunning. However, the thing that sets this BnB apart from others is the gracious hospitality of the hosts. Elly and Chris were extremely hospitable, and happily spent time conversing with us about the loch, the local woodland creatures, and their own journey of coming to Loch Ness. It was also a neat experience getting to see much of the local wildlife (squirrels, pheasants, an abundance of songbirds, two deer, and Chester the badger). Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for one night, but we hope to come back in the future for a longer stay. Foyer's Bay is the best Bnb experience I've had, and truly is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Foyers Bay. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable with nice period features. The location is super, great views of Loch Ness and only a short walk from the stunning Falls of Foyers. The food, wine and whisky were all excellent and the owners are very friendly. A really good place to relax.

We arrived quite late (underestimated the last leg of the drive) but were welcomed very friendly nevertheless and were showed to our room and informed about the area. Very important to remember (it's stated on the website too, but just in case), if you're planning on dining here, let the owners know in advance. We forgot to, unfortunately, but got recommended some lovely places nearby. Soft robe, slippers and lovely shower/bathroom amenities. Clean, fresh, fancy. All in all very recommended.

Absolutely stunning hotel. After a week of sleeping in a tent it was such a welcome comfort to be in such beautiful surrounds and a wonderful room. We were in room number 2 which had views out to Loch Ness and perfectly situated for watching all the wildlife, of which there was plenty! The hosts were so warm and welcoming and very friendly. I honestly couldn’t rate Foyer’s higher. I’d love to stay again some time in the future. Breakfast was great, the room and the hotel was beautifully kept and decorated. If you want relaxation and comfort, you won’t go wrong here.

What a lovely guest house. Lovely room and amazing surroundings. Wildlife right on your door step but what makes this place great are the owners. Nothing is too much trouble. So helpful and welcoming. A true credit to their profession. Would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful views from a lovely country house that is very welcoming. Lots of animals around the place. Room is warm and comfortable with a stunning view of Loch Ness (if the weather allows). Nice food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Ask Elly for things to do and check out her excellent photos.

Chris and Elly were great! Breakfast was also great! Elly was very helpful in finding things to do off the beaten path! Loved the room and guest lounge!
