This was our second visit. There was a problem with our reservation, the main supervisor at check in was extremely unfriendly and unresponsive. After hours we were finally able to check in, she gave us our room key and that was it. Did not tell us where to go or who could help us. I found a bell hop who grabbed our luggage and led us to our rooms.
We first visited when this hotel had just opened and it was amazing. No complaints. But now in order to have dinner reservations you have to get them through sales department which try to lure you into the 4 hour sales pitch. Diana was relentless and would not accept no for an answer. She made our dinner reservations all around 9:00 at night…we had 3 kids with us. We had told her this would definitely not work. So we walked into every restaurant we wanted to eat at and made our own reservations around 6:00 every night! Such a scam and we were so over her by day 2.
Everything else was excellent. Dao was our favorite restaurant. Shoutout to Alonso at the Lobby bar for making excellent old fashions. He worked so hard being the only bartender with a crowded full bar.
I also suggest NOT to get the mini massages at the pool. My husband and I both got one. We tipped $20 and the female masseuse talked trash about me In Spanish. He also screwed up my back, he pushed his elbow so hard into my shoulder blades it moved two ribs out of position. I was in pain all of vacation which was 3 weeks ago and have spent $400 of therapy to fix it.
