カセリア デ サン ホセ(Caseria de San Jose)

A poet once said: Hospitality consists of a little warmth, a little food and great peace. What we experienced at Caseria de San Jose far exceeded that definition. From our first exploration of the hotel, it was clear that we were guests in a special house. The a**osphere breathed tranquility and stylish homeliness. Every room, every seating arrangement, was a welcome, was an invitation. And the hosts? There is the normal, cultivated hospitality. But there is also an exuding from the heart of a deep hospitality that is passion. This is difficult to describe, but as a guest you feel it immediately and its calming effect sets in right away. At the same time, this calmness gives rise to a joyful expectation with regard to the announced culinary delights. Just like the calm and stylish a**osphere, as well as the affectionate hospitality, the warmly and at the same time pleasurably served dishes exceeded our expectations by far. The nights then, in their dark silence, allowed a sleep such as we had not known for years. Thus, the silent nights and quiet and enjoyable days were truly a "retreat" from the world for us. We had no idea that we would catch a glimpse of heaven in the process. Thank you so, so much dear Carolina, Jean, and Sofia. We will see us again.

We had the most wonderful stay here; the house is simply stunning as is the location. Jean and Carolina were the best hosts we could ask for, really kind, very helpful and made us feel very much at home (the food is incredible too). If you are looking for relaxation in an amazing setting with the nicest hosts, then I cannot recommend Caseria de San Jose enough.

If you are travelling from Cordoba direction, be prepared for a 4 mile drive on a gravel road, but believe me, the drive is amazing and the destination is well worth it. The property is in an amazing location , looking out on the reservoir and olive groves. The pool is lovely, but was a little bracing in November! My wife and I were the last guests of the season and Carolina was on her own because her huband was away. She was an amazing host, cooking us a beautiful 3 course meal and a tasty breakfast. Our only regret was that on two of the three mornings, we left too early for breakfast, but even then we were left a selection of fuits and snacks to take with us. The room was gorgeous, as was the whole property. If driving from Malaga or Granada direction, you only need to travel on the gravel drive for a few hundred metres. I thoroughly recommend staying here, we will have some great memories from our stay here.

The most beautiful house, in a stunning location with the best hosts you could ask for. Jean & Carolina have made a wonderful home in such an amazing setting, they are always on hand to help and make the most amazing food. If you want some rest and relaxation in a wonderful place with really kind hosts, then I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Just back from a 10 day stay in this lovely hotel and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our first trip post-covid. The location is stunning with a view from a pool that you can’t tire of. The decor and a**osphere are elegant and tasteful but at no sacrifice to comfort. The rooms are spacious, airy and clean. Jean said he was ‘at our service’ when we first arrived and he certainly with tips, advice and prompt and friendly service with food and drinks. He is observant and remembers small things which make such a difference . I wish we’d eaten here more. This wasn’t a holiday where we were looking to do much yet we ended up going out in the evening to dinner a few times which was not of the same quality as on offer here. From Carolina’s jam to a self devised melon soup to chicken tagine, all beautifully cooked and presented. Very good value for money. We would recommend this hotel to anyone

We visited this place for the fourth time and we still loved it as much as at the beginning: our room was sparkling clean, quiet, fresh and spacious. The whole building is wonderfully restored. Carolina's dishes are excellent, Jean's friendly nature is always a pleasure. We also are always enjoying the presence of their two dogs, who are welcoming but quiet. It is the perfect place to relax a weekend or a week: it is in the middle of nature but there is plenty to visit in the area and to hike. We will certainly repeat next year! Ideal for couples or people who look for tranquillity.
