The Raj Palace (Small Luxury Hotels of the World)

This is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been! We were there for our friends wedding celebration and words can’t describe how wonderful it was! Everything is perfect and flawless, the room is a statement by itself the food is great, the decor is awe! If you’re in Jaipur don’t think twice!

Close to the end of our tour through Rajasthan we stayed here for two nights. It was a real highlight! We had a historic room looking onto a small court. The furniture was completely plated in silver. The room was huge, with a comfortable sitting area, dining table and powder room besides the bathroom. Everything decorated nicely and a display of jewellery. The bed was very comfortable and the room comfortably warm. A newspaper was at the door every morning. The only place where we had this service. We had no problems with the internet. Food was delicious, but really expensive. A large selection for breakfast, which was excellent, too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The whole palace is very beautiful, with different courts and a beautiful pool. A true gem. The gym is not inviting indeed, but who needs a gym in this setting?

We stayed at the property in December thinking that it was going to be a stay we would remember for the rest of our lives believing it was a proper place but it's not. It has rooms that are average and with non-existent views in spite of us booking an expensive Heritage Presidential room. First of all they messed up our booking as we had 3 pax and they said they only had reservation for 2 pax when we actually had proof of our reservation for 3pax. They charged us a daily rate of $50 for a roll away bed. We could have bought a brand new king bed for that amount! Their customer service is abismal at best and we feel sick after eating at their restaurant. We experienced this poor level of service and a subpar room and property even after holding the highest tier status for the Hyatt hotel chain. I dread how they would have treated us if we had no status at all. There are ***y much better options in Jaipur even within the Hyatt brand so I would recommend you not waste your time here especially when on holiday and book some place else. You do not want to have any regrets later, trust me.

This positives about this hotel is the building itself is simply stunning and the employees that work there are very kind. The food was good and was multi cuisine but we had Indian food only. Our room was very large and historic. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable the matress was thin and had been placed on some ply wood. The bed itself was more for show and to suite the heritage feel rather than comfort. Without sounding too harsh I would say the furnishings lacked any luxry including cheap towels. We paid £400 pernight. I just expected more for our money especially as we have stayed at cheaper hotels since and they have really been 5 star It feels like the hotel needs some investment to improve the overall experience for the guests.

We had a 2-night stay at this wonderful hotel with exceptionally good service. Big rooms, the only drawback was that the room had very little natural light. The breakfast was excellent and this resort takes personalized service to a totally different level. The hotel is a quiet oasis in the middle of an unbelievably noisy and traffic clogged central part of Jaipur.

Great experience Mr singh in the restaurant he had worked there around 15 years an absolute asset to the palace what a gentle***!!! His service was outstanding cant thank him enough lovey guy. The whole palace and food was great definitely recommend it, its a good price for what you get and wifi great and fast

This is an almost 300 years old Palace which retains all the good historic features while also introducing modern day amenities. The Hotel grounds as well as my room was beautiful. Would specially like to mention the wonderful service from all the staff. Excellent value for money!

En arrivant on est déduit par la beauté du bâtiment et on ressent de suite l'atmosphere d'un palace de maharaja d'antan. L'arrivée est curieuse: personne à la porte pour nous accueillir , on hésite à ouvrir la porte fermée. Dans un sombre couloir une petit reception avec aucun endroit pour s'assoir, mais le personnel est gentil. Les chambres sont belles , mais sombres car les fenêtres donnent sur un mur. Pour internet , il faut retourner à la reception chercher un code pour chaque telephone , puis y retourner chercher d'autres codes pour chaque iPad , puis pour chaque ordi). Mais , malgré les codes .... internet ne marche de toute façon pas. On comprend qu'un type de voyageur nostalgique à la recherche d'un passé glorieux s'y sente bien, car le décore prime sur le confort. Nous avions besoin d'internet pour organiser nos journées , ce fut compliqué donc décevant.

One of my favourite places for dining in Jaipur. Awesome and royal ambience. Food is delicious and authentic. The staff is very cooperative. Good.place for family. I went to their restaurant and also at the coffee shop. I will recommend this place.
