Lovely accommodation very clean and tidy. We loved the mini kitchenette in our room. We we’re offered a delightful breakfast on each day of our stay . The fabulous staff couldn’t have been more helpful.Great stay, very relaxing . Will definitely book again next year

From the welcome at arrival, to the good morning at breakfast, to the goodbye on departure my stay was welcoming and wonderful. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and spacious. It was a most enjoyable stay and I highly recommend it.

We stayed for 4 days. Our room was lovely and close to all the facilities. Zodwa was charming and went out of her way to help with our questions. Breakfast was great. Thank you and lets hope that we will see you again..

After good communication via email and your review of Claire's, I was really looking forward to it. Upon arriving at 4 pm at Claire's after a hellova trip from N Mozambique ( up at 3 am. this morning) we asked for a coffee We were told that due to load shedding, that would not be possible We asked for any cold drink . Response was that due to covid, it would not be possible. I was horrified that there was no caring or empathy. TripAdvisor's rating was certainly nowhere nearly correct G

Had a very pleasant stay at Claire's! Zodwa was a star and was on hand to help with everything! Great bed, lovely breakfast, backup generator for any power cuts and the location is fantastic. Difficult to find a better offering in the area at this price point.

We stayed for two nights and were given the best of services. Very nice and clean place. It was raining some during our stay but we loved sitting on the porch (it had a roof) playing games at night. We had the possibility to stay at the guest house after check out while waiting to go to the airport. During that time we were allowed to use the pool and also a shower, what a service! We would definitely stay here again if we are given a chance.

This place is beyond terrible. They treated us like criminals when we paid in full and our booking was confirmed. We had family come up from KZN and we decided to join them at the guesthouse for one night. We booked via a well known booking platform, paid in full and received both the payment receipt and booking confirmation. On arrival at the guesthouse, Zodwa met us at the car and we were called to reception. She then instructed us to go to an ATM and get cash to pay for our booking because according to her there was a problem with her system and our booking was never captured in her system, however, she had received the email from the booking platform as she greeted us by name when we arrived. We then had to call the manager, Samantha, who was not prepared to assist or do anything to try and resolve the issue and the onus lay on us to call the booking platform. We were extremely frustrated and refused to pay a second time. I then called the booking platform to try and resolve the issue and during that time Zodwa took it upon herself to call armed security guards and instructed them to remove us from the property. She was shouting in the background and I was not able to hear what the booking agent was saying, despite us asking her to keep it down, she continued. I had to shout at Zodwa to ask her to be quiet so that I could continue my phone call. The booking platform was friendly and helpful, and confirmed that they had in fact made payment to the guesthouse but also mentioned that they had a few other instances at the very same guesthouse where guests were refused check in. The attitude of this establishment and its staff is absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. We are living in unprecedented times and at the very least we would have expected them to have integrity. The bottom line is if the guesthouse is not willing to accept discounted bookings via various booking platforms, they should remove their listings altogether. Zodwa and her manager Samantha were very quick to call armed security, but had no inkling of assisting us with resolving the issue at hand. What an absolute disgrace that Claire's of Sandton ruined our entire weekend and also the limited time we had to spend with family, never mind the trauma of the incident.
