Kaldan Samudhra Palace

I highly recommend this place for families with children. The location is excellent and the ambience is extraordinary. The resort's theme is Rajasthani and is very well-maintained. The hospitality and food are good, although there are a lot of flies, which can be a bit bothersome. The resort has a swimming pool suitable for children of all ages, but please be cautious as the pool area can get slippery. The resort also offers daily programs which are posted near the reception area to keep everyone entertained. It's not just a place to stay for the night, but a great spot to spend quality time with your family and relax.

Best thing about the resort is its beach access and pool. Good architecture outside. Bad rooms. For a 5 star property the room interiors are pretty basic. Even the beds are two single cots squeezed together which keep moving if someone is in the middle. That’s just not acceptable. No bedside table or study desk with office chair which we expect from basic even 3 star hotels. Food is average. Not a big spread in the buffet. It’s a good property if you want to enjoy the beach and use the pool. Otherwise it’s definitely not worth the price.

Dinner buffet is average (not worth the buffet price). Some dishes were just bad and choice was also limited. Breakfast was decent (special mention to the chef who made french toast for the kid, it was really soft and nice). For this price there are better options on ECR. The number of snack options provided inside the room was good. Pool is not heated. The facility looks more like an movie art set than an actual heritage style building which they attempted to recreate.

Hello, This is Raghav and i stayed at Samdhura palace, Mahabalipuram from 23rd to 26th Dec 2023 ***** with my wife and 2 kids. It was an amazing stay and we totally loved the hospitality. Especially wanted to extend my thanks to Parida, ***n and Harpal (from security) and Anto at the restaurant. Everything is amazing about the resort and we are looking to visit again. Excellent hospitality, well maintained and entertainments throughout the day. Warm welcome with Rajasthani tradition. Folk perfor***ce was excellent. Excellent food. Let NV options. Play area was well equipped.

Basis Mr Venkatesh Bhat introduction to this hotels, I and my family visited on Dec 22nd and had a sumptuous buffet lunch at their Dhani restaurant. The ambience is fantastic with a very wide spread of items, both Veg and Non Veg (though we had veg only). The taste is very good. The staff are very courteous and take care of every minute items we need. If you opt for Buffet lunch, do not forget to taste every item. Before leaving, we also spent some time snapping pics around the hotel, which is very beautiful. The place is worth its visit. The price, though slightly on the higher side, is worth its price. All the best to the team.
