The Hosteller Kareri

Had a lovely stay. Was made very welcome from the outset. Because it was not full we were automatically and without asking, given a four bed room for myself and daughter instead of the 8 bed mixed for that we were originally booked into. We ended up staying longer than planned as a result. The staff and food were great and we were given lots of helpful advice about what to do whilst there. Link to pay was also easy, so all in all excellent location, place and staff.

Our stay here was the high point of our trip to Himachal. Kareri is a charming little mountain village with stunning views of the Dhauladar range, especially form this hostel. While we didn't do the lake trek due to uncertain weather, we did plenty of smaller hikes around - thanks to great suggestions from the well-informed hosts who run this place. Our stay at this hostel was very comfortable and the food was excellent. The granola pancake was to die for! 10/10 on all fronts. Highly recommend.

Kareri Village has the most amazing views and is quiet and very peaceful. We stayed at The Hosteller at Kareri which is a gem within the village. Completely new and modern, beautiful and clean rooms with everything you need (dorm rooms are wonderful as well), gorgeous view from our bedroom windows and from the cool rooftop. The food is delicious and freshly cooked at your request. On top of it all, the staff here is awesome, young and very kind. Ishan took great care of us, helping with taxis, getting a tour guide for Kareri Lake Trek and all that we needed for the trek itself. I think it's a great place to stay whether you're a backpacker, a couple or a group of friends traveling together. I highly recommend staying here!
