アナンティア・バイ・ザ・レイク(Anantya by the Lake)

One of the best lakeside resorts with excellent rooms offering stunning lake views is Anantya. We stayed in the Chakra cottage, and the rooms were super clean and spacious. The services provided by the housekeeping, receptionist, and food and beverage teams were excellent. Although the food was a bit expensive, the taste was extremely good. The candlelight dinner arranged by the poolside with a lake view was exceptional. Thank you, Anantya, and the team for your outstanding service.

We were charged 12,000/ night. Resort is not maintained well, room was average with seepage on walls, spring mattress was so uncomfortable, broken pillows, floor of the room was untidy, we were so tired, requested to serve high tea in the room, which was included in the package, tea came with 2 pieces of small cookies and cold sweet banana fritters, asked to bring some salted item as we don’t eat sweet, no one returned, dinner was very average, curd served was so sour that bubbles were coming up, water served in rooms was RO, no mineral water, sent our driver to buy from the market. Moreover location is 60km far from Kanyakumari. Overall very bad experience, paid so high for such poor services, book at your own risk.

I had organised a company offsite at Anantya by the Lake and everything was flawless. Thanks to the entire team of Anantya for ***aging and executing our offsite as per the agenda suggested. Food, location...everything was very good and enjoyed by all. A million thanks to Alpha and female staff who helped us early morning. Also a special thanks to everyone who coordinated with me during the offsite (Shiva, Pramod, Roy, Alpha and few names I don't know) and the backend team. Very well ***aged and great team work. I would surely recommend this property to all for its beautiful scenic rooms. Completely worth each penny! Thank you once again 😇🙏🏼

There best place to stay for friends and family. The money spent is worth the experience. Feels close to nature with luxury! Food is the best , never had such tasty Kerala cuisine. The view is magnificent. The service was top notch. There would be no signal coverage except for Jio and bsnl.

The food was excellent, the chef ensured that our pallet needs were met. Service provided by Mr. Raghul is excellent. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time vibes. Looking forward the next stay.

The resort was lovely in its presentation, on arrival through ***icured borders and orange earth compacted paths. The Veda 4 accommodation was spacious with a glorious view, the outside had a cool blue tiled pool and calming pond with water lillies. The view over the lake with soaring eagles and languid egrets was peaceful and a real treat. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. Suresh who led the evening team was such a joy, he offered suggestions and we enjoyed delicious food (plus some nice g&t’s)! Breakfast was also a wonderful experience, especially for European’s. We loved trying the different chutneys, vada. Idli and curry’s, not to mention the freshly made wafer thin dosa’s. Thank you to Vinod and his colleagues for their assistance. We went on the plantation tour with Anil Kumar the plantation ***ager and it was really inspiring and interesting, well worth a trip… and who knew rubber tree honey was a thing! Delicious!!!! The main pool by the restaurant was large enough for a nice morning swim and lovely Charles kept it leaf free. The grounds staff kept the resort lush and tidy and everyone was cheerful and friendly. All in all we had a relaxing stay.thank you!

Had an amazing experience at Anantya By The Lake. Spent 3 nights & 4 days there, and got to experience good food, great service and a memorable overall experience 😃 The beauty of the place of course is showcased well I'm the photos in the website.. The room was quite thoughtful in design (2 ACs + 1 fan to cover the entire room, an additional pedestal fan in case of a backup necessity, good supply of toiletries, well-designed jacuzzi and so on ..) Very courteous and attentive staff - Rahul, Suresh Kumar & team at the restaurant, Roy, Ashkar & others at the front office, friendly and attentive housekeeping staff, and so on) The weak WiFi was co****sated by the front office staff offering us the backup Jio Hub that they had, when we explained the urgency of attending to office work amidst the holiday... The restaurant menu had a fairly limited listing, but happy to see that they could provide for ***y more items than just what was listed. Good quality too!! And they were able to accommodate our request for an early breakfast before checkout, and surprised us with the elaborate spread even at that time. Overall, a must-visit place! Thanks guys

We made booking for 2 days but vacated from the hotel after staying for a day. We were 2 couples travelling MLR-BLR-TRV and we chose Anantya to celebrate my wife's birthday which turned out to be a disaster. Had called and informed our time of arrival and that we have had a long journey, hence would like to place an order at the restaurant so that food ia ready when we reach hence requested a call back from the restaurant, but they didn't bother to call us even after 3 repeated call requests in 45 minutes. No buggy service after checkin at 2pm. Had to wait for a long time after a long and hectic journey. Room ( Sofas and the Deewan ) were not cleaned. Defective flush ( Water flowing continuously ) which took another 30 minutes to be fixed and we had to wait in room instead of going ahead to have lunch. The jacuzzi was dirty. After all this we went to the restaurant to find out there is no AC when the temp is 34°C. They have bar which has AC but they said they do not provide food at the Bar. Meanwhile we informed the ***ager that the room isn't clean for which the staff asked for the room key which i refused and asked him to send staff once we finish lunch. But when my i came to the room to get my phone the staff were already inside. How could they do this when we had told not to. Food taste is absolutely not up to the standard. The staff are rude. They just walk away or talk to others when we talk to them. Most importantly they do not even understand english well enough nor follow the instructions given. The lampshade had dust and hair on it. The dustbin paddle didn't work. Hence have to open with hand each time. There were frequent power cuts here. The in room pool is a plunge pool and not a pool as they have mentioned. Staff comes and wakes us up at 8am only to ask if he can clean the pool.

We stayed at Anantya for two nights. Located in a rubber plantation, Anantya resort is a serene and beautiful place. We were in the Chakra cottage facing the lake. The stillness of the water provides a perfect backdrop to the resort. At night, the place is beautifully lit with lanterns which gives it an ethereal ambiance. We had the pleasure of watching a barathnatyam perfor***ce by two very talented dances on our first night. The staff is so attentive and courteous. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef JP Nidhish again. We had met him at Anantya in the village while we were there. Chef Nidhish’s culinary talent is outstanding. He is a gem of a person as well, kind and considerate. We enjoyed South Indian specialties that were so authentic. The Kerala stew and kurma were so tasty. Please extend our special thanks to Chef Nidhish. He really made our stay extra special. We also met sous chef Jayesh who was very attentive as well. Rahul, a waiter in the restaurant made sure we were well taken care of. Rahul is very efficient and hard working. Vinod also was wonderful. He remembered that I liked hot water with my meals from my stay at the other Anantya and would get it for me. Overall our stay at Anantya was a relaxing, luxurious experience where we felt pampered and well taken care of.
