ザ レイクビュー ホテル、シャンティー クリーク リゾート(The Lakeview Hotel, Shanty Creek Resort)

The room was OK, but the toilet stopped working in the middle of night, which got rather nasty before we could alert housekeeping about it in the morning. It should have worked from the outset, as we did nothing to cause the problem. The bar closed at 9:00pm - too early for us, having returned to the hotel from dinner. The restaurant wasn't open for breakfast - only the coffee bar was, which was disappointing, as we had a drive ahead of us.

Very nice great views. Quiet though the pool was closed and dining and breakfast was very limited

They recently updated their lobby area & it looks very nice & the rooms are clean, bedding clean & comfortable. There is a smell when you walk in the lobby of it being old & musty & the hallways are dingy & tired but it is the only hotel in the area so there’s not much of a choice. Staff is excellent & super friendly so that is a huge plus & outweighs the negatives!

The entire property is very dated. The rooms are very dated, think 1985 ish! Played golf and the course is in bad shape. Fairways were terrible. They are extremely short-staffed which caused delays in service, and food prep. I'm guessing this is why the staff is cranky.

Our family had an amazing time at the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the view was amazing. Can’t wait to return next summer!

The property was definitely outdated. The room and bathroom felt like it was in the 1990s with a tv and phone in the bathroom. Bed was clean and comfortable. Pool was green the day we got there. Buffett food was okay but not terrible.

There were ***** in a drawer in our room that our toddler found. Thankfully he handed us the bags with the pipe, ***** and edible butnit could have ended very badly

Funny review to make, but the doors on the property are all weird. Our room door requires that you lean really hard on it to lock or unlock it. Balcony door handle totally broke off. Stairs doors were sticky… Overall room was very comfy. Bushes below our balcony were full of trash- kind of gross. Over all, I’d stay again though. Grounds are pretty.

Wall air conditioner was pushed partially out of the wall and didn’t work very good. Caulking missing in bathroom tub. Wallpaper peeling. There were beer bottle caps and dried food on the patio. The rooms definitely need to be updated. You could hear people walking around upstairs. I have spent a lot less for a much nicer room. Disappointed for the price
