We had the most magical time. Beds super comfy, tents amazing. Watching the hippos play around whilst having breakfast would have to be a highlight! Big shout out to our guide Dennis who made sure we had the best safari ever and went over and beyond to make sure we saw all the animals we wanted! David looked after us at mealtimes and his super was great. Florence was there to attend to our smallest of needs! Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable

Our first stop .... what a very warm welcome! Derek picked us op at the airstrip and we drove to the camp while we were enjoying all the beauty of Kenya. It was very nice to receive a beautiful waterbottle with your name on it as a welcome gift: we used it all of our holiday and now it is a nice souvenir at home! When we arrived at the camp we were presented a refreshing towel and a nice cold drink. The restaurant is situated at the riverside, the 'home' of a large group of hippo's. The tents are very beautiful and well equipped, the shower room outside is fantastic! We've enjoyed our daily game drives with Derek who provided us with a nice cold drinks and snacks at beautiful spots. Breakfast in the bush was something to remember for ever! The food at Karen Blixen is of a very high standard, daily 4-course meals with a main as chosen. We've only stayed for 2 nights, when we return we hope it will be for a longer period.

The camp is an absolute wonder and our 02 nights here were wonderful. The staff were excellent and the rooms were awesome. The location is fantastic and the planning is well thought. It is excellent for families, solo travellers, honeymooners and also takes care of wheel chair guests. Thankyou Moses and your wonderful team

Absolutely perfect in every way! From the amazing, kind and knowledgable staff… to the exemplary service… no detail was left unattended. Special thank you for the sweet and unexpected birthday cake and celebration (the sweet ladies at the front desk happen to notice my birthday was a week ago and they surprised me with a cake and singing). The grounds are amazing, the river, hippos and wildlife viewing with a glass of wine in hand! Would highly recommend everyone coming to the Mara choose this as their accommodations!!

I would have never thought that all the little details would be taken care of, but they were. The camp was so secure, always had an escort at night to walk me back to my tents! My tour guides for the game drivers were incredible and tailored my drives to what I was hoping to see. We had spent 5 days trying to find a cheetah and with a stroke of luck on the final morning, we found one right before I had to leave… like the final hour of the safari! The people who were working at the camp worked to know my name and what I liked so everyday I had meals that were top quality. But the views of the mara is what had my heart. From the Bush dinner to the Bush breakfast (which I had no idea they were planned) was so great to have. The camp was a perfect base to spend 5 days in and the people there were so welcoming! I felt right at home! I thank you so much for the most incredible experience for my first time to east africa! I was excited but I was taken care of along every step of the journey, which blew me away. I will be back and I will back at Karen Blixen!

An absolutely fantastic experience. Great people, wonderful food and I can only give my very best recommendations. The game drives with the guide was always very good and the final day when we were served breakfast on the savannah was just something I will nver forgett.

The drivers and guides, excellent. The staff were the best ever. Can't say enough about the people. Very friendly, helpful and polite. Go out of the way to make sure you are happy. I am an agent. I have been in the business for 20 years, specializing in Africa. I have never written a review. This camp is under new ownership. This camp takes deposits and does not honor the contracted booking. This camp has taken many deposits for 2025 booking based on Full Board. This camp no longer honors full board bookings, yet they are still taking the bookings and the deposits. They have kept all deposits after canceling the full board bookings. BUYER BE WARE!!!!! There are many camps to choose from, not only in Kenya, but even better in South Africa or Botswana. Put your deposit down with this camp and chances are very high you will lose all your money because they will send you a bill for 3 times the amount. The camp may look beautiful in images, but is crowded and overbooked. It is a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
