Best Western Inn of Kilgore

The “continental breakfast” consisted of stale bread, rock hard biscuits, undercooked bacon and over cooked sausage. Our door keys had to be reset every night for some reason. Our door lock broke and the front desk handed us a screwdriver and told us to take the lock off of our door (wasn’t even the right type of screw driver). The pool was very dirty. The a/c barely worked.

It was not made clear that this hotel was actually more like a motel with the doors of the room on the outside. The area is sketchy and not an ideal stay for a family. We specifically didn’t book at the motel 6 that was closer to our destination because we thought staying at the best western would be nicer and feel more safe. But in reality it was probably equivalent to the motel 6 and we had to add a 30 min drive To and from our destination. We won’t stay here again when visiting Henderson/Kilgore.

Rooms smelly musty, air conditioning barely cools, bed hard as a rock and makes noise with every move, sheets don’t smell clean. Absolutely ridiculous what they charge for these rooms. Should be $40 at best.

I stayed there on the last weekend in June 2021. The front desk workers on all 3 shifts were all so nice and friendly. I really enjoyed staying there. They had a nice continental breakfast which was just enough to start off my day. The swimming pool was so clean and refreshing, It was nice just to lie by the pool and soak up some rays. The room was quite comfortable and very clean. And as an added plus it was right next door to Wal Mart where I could grab anything I may have forgotten at home. i

Outdated, pet friendly but no place to take pets, first room had cockroaches and smelled of a swamp, 2nd room had hole in wall, woke up each morning with new bites. Only one front desk lady helpful. She quickly switched first room. Next morning the lady dismissed me when I stated I had bites, the “breakfast” is a yogurt. Construction crew that was there was outside all hours partying.
