Travelodge Kilmarnock

Hotel was dark and dingy. Corridors smelled of smoke and our initial room had a really strong smell of damp. Thankfully we were able to move rooms which smelled a lot cleaner however there were dead bugs that had been squashed against the walls, one was stuck to a cardboard sign on the table top. The carpet looked and felt dirty. The windows were covered in black mould. Overall hated my stay couldn’t relax or sleep well because it felt disgusting. Will not be returning.

No food at all at this place, cigarettes ends piled up outside the window and people smoking upstairs, room was not cleaned or bed made up although we had paid £779.34 for 2 room 3 nights no drinking glasses in room, nowhere near for a meal or breakfast, no where to sit outside while we waited for a taxi, it is a dump and to chrage that much without any facilities is disgusting

The receptionist was very helpful and the bed was clean but the bathroom had Mould in it and there was no soap in the dispenser

Excellent accommodation friendly staff, clean room. The only issue is that there is no restaurant at the location, there is however a McDonalds on the doorstep and within a 5 minutes drive from the town. I’ve stayed here now 3 times in the last 2 weeks and can’t really complain.

Stayed here recently. Great location if your traveling right beside the M77. McDonald's right beside it so easy food option. The staff were pleasant on check in. Good security can't access the rooms with out the key fob. Was nice to come into the room with a fan on with the hot weather was nice having the option to have a fan. Room was a good size. Nice and clean. Bed is comfortable pillows are a little high for my personal liking but very soft and fluffy. Bathroom was nice and clean only thing was soap container at sink wasn't working. Shower was warm and powerful. For been soclose to busy roads you don't hear the cars and my room was kn front of building. Staff were great called up to ask if our rooms could beclose together as we came as a family group with two rooms and they explained why they couldn't but even then had our rooms as close as they could one was right at top of the stairs and the other just at the bottom which was nice of them to do.

Various other large stains Previous occupants bodily fluids on the side of the bed Bed not properly made Shower rail rusty and held in place by putty Cellotape holding desk together Chairs damaged Window glazing failed and misted Noisy flip-flop wearing cleaner making far too much racket in corridor from 7am Lazy staff all standing outside smoking fags Dirty floor including edges Dangerous to a child - hairpin left on carpet No staff to greet on arrival just notice in window saying check-in closed till morning Prices per night as high as £150
