The accommodation was not as depicted. First there is no couch in the room and we did not get a room with a balcony as requested. I went there a day before we checked in and spoke with a lady at the front desk on Thursday the 23rd, since the rest of my family was coming in on the 24th. She assured me that we will be on the same floor, the rooms we requested was available. On check in, none of this occurred and she never relayed our request. The room was barebone, the receptionist told us the photos shown on the websites needs to be taken down. Towels were skimpy, one has to beg for extra towels for a party of four. Fridge was unplugged and empty ! Initially on arrival, I small bottle of water given to each person on arrival and that was it ! For the stay ! One has to beg to get water. We ended up buying at the supermarket. The security was good. Exterior gardens need to be maintained. The linens have seen better days. The tiled floor was dirty in the room. We carried bedroom booties and they were so dirty from the floor that we had to discarded them before we left. Some cafeteria employees are nice, others are grumpy and slow. This would be nice place, if only they could upgrade the furniture and maintained the exterior. It takes for ever for the hot water to appear ! Location is the best-selling point for this small hotel. Security is 👍 great.

Breakfast was wonderful, rooms were ok. However, towels and rags were not enough.

Upon arrival there was not hot water, following morning went to breakfast, main menu was finished, offered off menu, I was horrified, spoke with manager, asked to go in room to check hot water, within our stay there was no hot water.

Great staff! The rooms are very clean and makes you feel right at home. The gym can use a tune up but was still efficient enough to continue your body maintenance. The food selection was great. I really can't find anything to complain about with this hotel. Everything from the check in and check out process was smooth and the price was right. Also felt safe, I know there may be other better hotels in Kingston but for me ALTAMONT will always be my first love. I don't really want to try anything else. When I return to Kingston alta is my comfort zone.

They had limited staff in the breakfast area for a large number of guest during breakfast. Wonderful help from the front desk and cleaning staff as needed. It was basic but useful

Three times my wife has stayed there, three times there have been problems. This time hour and a half to get a room. She arrived at 3pm at the check in time but no rooms where available.

My husband and I spend 3 days it was a short visit, front desk staff was amazing Security team was amazing Food was a wonderful, our dislike was the bathroom once we took a shower it was all wet because of the glass, for a female that apply makeup it wasn’t convenient no glass only in the bathroom with bad lighting.

The location is ideal, the staff is friendly and the food was good. The rooms are clean also the property.
