Old school charm with a colonial feel, which is a nice change from the stark cookie cutter corporate chains a la Marriot, or the overly artsy hotels that never deliver on the service. Best place to stay in kingston, in my opinion with comfy and quiet rooms and good amenities. Also two of the best restaurants are located here - a fine dining and a smart casual.

I like the fact that it was convenient to the shopping areas and restaurants . The staff were very nice. The breakfast has lots of variety and very great.

I gave 5 stars for all categories except one; Staff and Services. I gave it 2 stars because the front desk personnel was not particularly kind. Her attitude felt hostile. All the other staff members were great. The waitress and waiters were kind and welcoming. The food was great. The room amazing. The place met all my expectations and more. But I guess it can't all be perfect. I'm Jamaican born, and a US citizen. I moved back to Jamaica for over 3yrs now. I took my wife to the Terra Nova Hotel to celebrate our Anniversary. I never expected to feel less than anyone else we visit here. It started out with pleasant Hello from us and that we would like to check in. She asked if we had a reservation, we did. We gave our names, IDs, payment info. All that interaction felt we were at the wrong place. I gave my AMEX card, my US ID and that's when her energy changed. It sucks that this is how things are. I didn't expect it so close to home. And believe me when I say that I've experienced this on many occasions. Anyway, don't let this one bad apple stop you. You'll have a great time here. I would still stay here again. If it's the same receptionist, I just have to understand that this is how things are.

We stayed over the Christmas holidays. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Shout out to a server named Devon who made sure we were comfortable during dining. Just a heads up, if there are events, the music is blaring loudly as we could hear it from our room, sometimes past midnight. If you need to buy stuff or dine out, there are options within walking distance such as Fontana Square, which was a very convenient spot to pick up small gifts or souvenirs.

It was lovely and clean , room service was exquisite, love the rainfall shower . Will b changing my monthly hotel visits to Terra . I was impressed

It's a property we've been staying at for years. We were born in the city It's located, we know the area very well, and it's accessible to just about everything.

I had booked a suite which was confirmed and was kicked out of that room and bumped down to a regular room. Very disappointing. I stayed there many times, always in a suite and that was disregarded.

Very nice property and the food was excellent but the rooms seem to be a bit old and in need of some maintenance and renovations
