イビス バジェット クノック(Ibis Budget Knokke)

L’hôtel est bien situé (entre Bruges et Knokke). Rapport qualité /prix satisfaisant. Seul point négatif, le parking facturé 15€/par jour ainsi que le petit déjeuner idem facturé 15€ par personne ce qui élève le prix de départ. Un parking gratuit et un petit déjeuner à 10€ serait plus satisfaisant.

Tv not working Bedside lights not working but a feeble night light under the bed 3rd single bed as a pull down bed in a wardrobe so no actual usable wardrobe- this was not disclosed when booking as otherwise would have gone elsewhere No bed side light available for pull down bed Only towels for 2 people but there were 3 of us Toilet brush stuck in holder with faeces stained toilet paper clearly seen in the top bristles of the brush Shower door handle fitted back to front so handle on outer side of shower door. Luckily I’m tall enough to reach the gap between the top of the door and the ceiling to open it. A shorter person would have been trapped. 1 very flat pillow for each person. Even a staff member said to me “this place is no good for anything but one night”, when I complained.

I’m still at this awful hotel with my daughter and granddaughter. Be careful: they tell you that the non-refundable rate can be booked as long as rooms are available but after all it seems that this rate ends 3 days before arrival and as from then you can not book this rate anymore, even if rooms are available. If you want a parking place, you have to book it in advance, the rate is 10 euro. But don't worry, you can easily park on the opposite side of the road. Breakfast is in the reception hall of the hotel, which is not very cosy.

Classic Ibis Budget style. Paid 89 euros for low level room but THEY CHARGE YOU 10 euros FOR THE PARKING ! -＞ total racket ! ATTENTION le parking coûte 10 euros ! Du racket à l'état pur ! J'ai donc payé 99 euros. A ce prix, la plupart des hôtels sont bien mieux !

We knew we had to expect a “budget” hotel, but there were holes in the bedsheet, bedsheets were unclean, there were no hangers or hooks for even a coat, walls were dirty and damaged. Bed was also squeaky all the time and light on one side of the bed didn’t work. Room was not done during our stay which also came as a surprise (this is still a hotel?). Also for 75 euros + 10 euros (parking, not 8 euros) we can’t really call this a budget hotel anymore. Much better can be found for 85 euros in the area.

My stay in the hotel was horrible, because I was attacked by bed bugs. I have been travelling round the world but never experienced that. It was so disgusting. They came in the middle of the night and when I discovered them they were already full of blood. When I killed them, they exploded and the bed sheet got red with my blood. A night mare. The night manager could not give me a new room, because the hotel was fully booked. The next morning I went to reception to get advice what to do. I was told to go to a shop to buy a spray. I went there but the shop was closed. Later I learned that it was the Belgian National Holiday... There was no further help from the reception, so I asked Google what to do. You have to avoid to get one single bed bug home. So I left everything replaceable behind in the room and for the rest of my personal belongings I asked the reception to get some garbage bags. It was a horrible, sleepless stay and I had the pleasure at home to freeze my things for days. Reception told me the manager would contact me. Nothing happened. I had to write several times to the management and mention the Consumer Protection before finally somebody responded and reimbursed the costs.

The hotel is conveniently located before entering Knokke. Rooms are small but convenient. Our stay was ok, value for money. Breakfast is quite ok to start off your day with. We only regretted that our rooms were not made and clean towels provided the evening we returned back to the hotel but presume this was an oversight.
