Splendid location, great vibes and crowds, very good breakfast which can also be served floating on the pool if you rent a villa. The sunrise is breathtaking, the villa is simply fantastic! A must go hotel should you travel to Koh Yao Noi!

Hôtel au très beau design en bord de mer. Très beaux villas mais la propreté des lieux ainsi que l’éclairage intérieur sont à améliorer. Aussi le fait de ne pas pouvoir fermer la porte de sa chambre à clé car ils n’ont pas de clé, laisse beaucoup à désirer au niveau de la sécurité, notamment quand on n’est pas sur place. Buffet PDJ de qualité mais avec un choix plutôt réduit. Le personnel et les gérants sont très sympathiques et accueillants. Dommage que le personnel de salle et cuisine ne parle pas très bien anglais car communication difficile.

We eloped and had our ceremony at 9 hornbills because of the beautiful views and the serenity this place offers. The tent has an AC above the bed so we were very comfortable at night. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The restaurant at the resort below is shared, and offers delicious food and drinks. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel that they are in true paradise, and who has some sense of adventure. The best of both luxury and adventure. The views are exceptional. The interior, furniture, and styling of 9 hornbills tents is quite lovely as well.

We had an amazing experience at this wonderful resort since the moment we arrived. We traveled with another couple. The Resort arranged our pick up from the hotel we stayed in Phuket , and took us to the marina for the transfer in a long boat directly to the beach in front of the resort. The cabin was exactly as described in their web page. The view from our cabin was beautiful, we could see the gorgeous bay in front of us with the impressive mountains. The Resort was quiet and relaxing. And all the staff were super cordial and friendly. Piano was in charge, coordinating everything to our satisfaction. What an amazing manager, always super diligent with a smile on her face ! Soot was in the restaurant and bar overseeing to all our wishes, and giving us tips. The rest of the staff was super nice, respectful and friendly. We never saw the cleaning crew and everything was clean and fresh around the resort and in our cabin. We had an amazing shower area outdoors. It was great! The only thing to be aware is there is not a key when you are out of your room. The cabin stays open. They have safes in each cabin thought. But we felt like we were visiting friends, safe, happy and relax. Because we were there in low season there were not too many guests. We were lucky because there was not rain, at least during the day. All the ladies in the spa were great. Our friends and us had massages every day. It was awesome!! We ate at the Resort restaurant every day except one night that we went to a local restaurant. The food was delicious. Some of our favorite was the local fish and the papaya salad. We tried almost everything in the menu. We rented a Motorbike with side car and did drive around the island. Everybody is so nice around this small island. We visited the market to get some of the great sauces and local spices recommended by the restaurant chef at the resort. We did some shopping to get souvenirs and had a blast taking pictures and driving around. Piano offered us the amazing experience of stay our last night at their glamping area in the mountain. It was a beautiful luxury tent with incredible views to the bay and a private pool. We loved it! We would love to visit again. I stayed here with my family of four in the BeachFront Family Villa and by far one of the best experiences we've had in Thailand. Our stay was 3 nights and 4 days which we felt was the perfect amount of time. The local staff were friendly & attentive to my families needs. The perfect place to recharge your batteries. And i must say THE BEST MASSAGES we have had by far, also we give thanks to treating a member of my family's sunburnt with aloe vera which has made recovery so much quicker.A huge Thank you to all staff involved & wont hesitate recommending your hidden gem to family, friends & others

We stayed with our familie of 5 and just had a wonderful time. We hired a family villa. The villa’s are phenomenal, with outside shower area behind the villa. Beds are comfy. I read reviews with people complaining about not getting the beachfront villa….. seriously?? People, remember where you are, look around you. There not a villa in a bad spot, all of them are facing the amazing sea. Also some people complaining about bugs…… just stay home, don’t travel to Asia. We loved it, super relaxed, food was good. The resort staff is just so lovely and helpful. The owners where there during our stay, lovely people.

Just returned after 5 days at this little gem in Thailand. From the moment we arrived we were met by most helpful staff who could not do enough to please. We had a delightful well appointed bungalow within 50m of the sea with uninterrupted views of the sea and islands. Caroline and Mederic were the resort managers with Mederic, trained in Michelin star restaurants, heading up the catering. His expertise certainly showed with a fantastic sunset meal in the Tent up the hill behind the resort that lived up to his Michelin training!! We had trips to the islands in a longtail boat to ourselves with swimming, snorkelling and picnic. In all an excellent holiday that lived upto and beyond our expectations!!

I wasn't going to say anything until I saw the The Koyao Management Team response to my husband Weston's review. This fabricated response filled with untruths is proof again of the poor management of this hotel. If you are coming across the world to enjoy Thailand, assure you have a pleasant time and stay somewhere else. This is more of a "Glamping" experience, expect power/lights to go out, an open air villa, with bugs flying/crawling about. We booked a villa with an ocean view (which would have been lovely I am sure) but when we arrived management did not give us the Villa we had booked online. It was incredibly frustratuing for us because we had done a lot of research for out trip to Thailand and had specifically booked that Villa for our once in a lifetime vacation. We were left feeling "cheated" as the pictures they posted online for the Villas were very misleading. They did not ammned the situation or help us in anyway to have a better experience (complentary dinner was offered after much deliberation.) While trying to sort the Villa situation out (around lunch time) after traveling all morning my daughter was very hungry, I took her to the restaurant to order some lunch but was infomred the resraurant was closed. I literally had to beg the kitchen manager to please help us, I asked for only a small bowl of plain noodles for her, he finally obliged but with no empathy or concern for his guests. It was incredible how unsympathetic they were to our situation. It saddens me to know they could not put themselves in their guest's shoes for one moment. I normally don't leave negative reviews but this was a very disheartening expereince for me.

Our family of three, including my son who is 14 years old, stayed 6 nights at Koyao Island Resort, which was probably the best place, we have ever stayed!!! We stayed at the family beach villa (number 15) right on the beach. The views from our bungalow was breathtaking and the swimming awesome and very safe. The bungalows are beautiful and luxurious with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, including e.g. a very cool outdoor bath/jacuzzi. We spent most of our time at the shaded beach-front terrasse playing games or reading while looking at the sea. The hotel offers several complimentary activities, which we truly enjoyed, such as kayaking in the sea, biking around the island, yoga class twice a week, and receiving 30 minutes amazing massage per person. Besides, the hotel also offers a wide selection of guided tours, which are private and very reasonably priced. We booked the full-day ‘Island discovery tour’ with a longtail boat that took us to 4 different islands, including Hong Island, for breathtaking views, swimming, snorkeling and picnicking on a private beach. The tour was awesome and our guide Jab was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very funny. Also, we booked a half-day tuk-tuk tour around Koyao Noi with a local guide, which was a very authentic experience of local living on the island. The tour was a unique and memorable experience, and our charming guide, Lee, was very informative and welcoming. The hotel also has a really amazing restaurant, Pum Pui Restaurant, which serves a huge selection of authentic thai food and some international courses as well. We ended up eating most of our meals at this restaurant as the food was incredibly delicious. Also worth mentioning is that the staff at the hotel and restaurant are extremely friendly and attentive. Some of the staff played soccer with my husband and son a couple of times which was - according to my son - one of the most fun experiences he had during our 3 weeks in Thailand;)
