The most amazing relaxing location and the friendliest staff you could wish for. Idyllic! The set menus each night were surprisingly varied and nicely presented. Cocktails not great but it didn't matter given high standard of other aspects. So great that it has given locals opportunities to stop them hunting and preserve the rainforest, while also teaching them English and hospitality. Loved the night time firefly trip, jungle hike and waterfall trip. Thanks to all ＜3

I fell in love with Canvas & Orchids from the moment I saw the website – and I ma happy to say I was not proved to be wrong in the slightest. It is just the most magical place – thinking about jumping into the beautiful river from the deck of our floating tent still makes me smile back home in the UK. The tents really only bear a passing resemblance to a tent – hot and cold running water, electricity and proper furniture all make it feel decidedly untent like. But it is a tent, full canvas walls and it does float. It was an amazing ‘room’ to stay in – plenty of space and totally comfortable. As others have said, there’s no aircon but there are fans and a large dehumidifier unit which does work well. The staff here felt like family after just being with them for a few moments. They can’t do enough to help – from the trips where we were so looked after, to the bar and restaurant, they make you so welcome at every turn. I was so sad to leave them behind! The restaurant is great with a super range of breakfast and dinner options. We didn’t bother with lunch as breakfast was so big – you choose from a menu but there’s no restriction on what you can have so it’s easy to fill up. Dinner has a different set menu every night but there’s also an a la carte. The bar is also open all day – perfect for those sundowners as the day draws to a close. Honestly, this was one of the most memorable stays of any trip we have ever taken anywhere. The stunning location, the uniqueness of the rooms and the hospitality of the staff combined to create a place that’s pretty close to perfect. It deserves more than five stars.

Probably one of the most chilled places I have visited. So relaxing and peaceful. The floating tents are fabulous and just sitting on your terrace gazing at the river is such a great way to destress. The staff are so friendly and food is excellent. I’d highly recommend a visit

The location is beautiful and peaceful. The tents are luxurious with everything you want. We loved waking up for a swim in the river followed by a coffee on our deck. The river is clean and perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The food is delicious and the staff lovely. Well worth visit

We were genuinely inspired by the thoughtful personal touches provided by the staff throughout our stay. Just a few examples that made our experience truly memorable: Each morning, hot water and freshly baked cookies were delivered right to our tent for a cozy start with coffee. The staff took the time to introduce us to the gardener, who was not only responsible for the beautiful surroundings but also kindly managed the tent’s curtains during rain. A friendly mechanic personally came by to introduce himself and assured us that any issues would be addressed immediately—such attentive service! We stayed for 2 nights, but it felt far too short to soak in everything this magical place offers. The comfort, care, and serene atmosphere make it an ideal retreat. We strongly recommend staying at least 3 nights to truly experience the charm and relaxation this place provides. It's simply perfect.

A wonderful retreat where you feel immersed in nature. We enjoyed boat trips to see sunset, waterfalls and the mangroves and a local village. Also an early morning hike in the forest.. The staff are very helpful and give a very warm welcome. Particularly recommend the waterfall trip and taking 3 days at this lovely spot.
