My stay at Regenta Orko's, Kolkata was pleasant and comfortable overall, however there wasn’t anything exceptional about it. The hotel is located slightly off the main road which makes it far from all the noise and commotion of the city, which is a plus point. Also, the location of the Hotel is near Acropolis mall where one can go for shopping and near the market which has quite a lot of good eating places. You can easily go out and enjoy the amazing street food of the beautiful city of Kolkata. Now coming to the hotel. The lobby is small and get a bit crowded as the entrance area is not that big. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk was polite and courteous. The rooms are of decent size and offer all the basic amenities though they feel somewhat dated. In -room dining service is good and fast. The food ordered for dinner was good and delicious. The breakfast was served at Orko’s Restaurant was decent but not elaborate with very limited options for Non – vegetarian which was a surprise to me. The tea served was a bit cold and the toaster was not working properly. These small things need to be taken care of by the management which helps improving the quality of experience. Now coming to the major issue, the hotel has roof top bar on the 6th floor and, in the night, especially on a Friday and Saturday night, the noise from the music and bass echoes and vibrates throughout the building. My room was on the second floor still I could feel the vibrations and the loud sound in my room which made it extremely difficult to sleep due to the disturbance. The hotel is fine for a short stay if you are on a visit to Kolkata but not for a long duration.
