The hotel match the business traveller needs . Simple , clean . With parking and decent location. Only thing is the language gap and communication following up still need to be catching up a bit.

Baikcilar is a very nice 4* hotel located just across the road from the mausoleum of Celaleddin Rumi, the main reason millions come to Konya. We had booked online a non-refundable, Basic Triple Room with breakfast for 1 night after reading a lot of reviews and am glad we chose this hotel for our 1 day / 1 night stay in this beautiful city. The hotel’s location is outstanding. View of the mausoleum and the mosque from our room was breathtaking. Most of the time, while in our room on the 3rd floor, we were glued to the window looking out, day or night. The view of the tidy bazaar on one side, the tracks of the tram winding down in the center of the road and the Mevlana Muzesi on the other side is reason enough to choose this hotel for your stay. Many of the famous tourist spots in the city are within a radius of a couple of kilometers and easily walk-able. We reached the hotel by taxi from the bus station in about 40-45 minutes close to the check in time. Had a smooth check in and were informed of the various sightseeing spots nearby by a helpful staff at the reception. The room was of pretty much the right size for three of us. Though it wasn’t large, the three single beds in the room didn’t make it feel cramped. There were large cupboards, a chair and a desk, a stool and a luggage rack along with the usual flat screen TV, electric kettle, mini fridge and an air conditioner. One bottled water per person was provided. The bathroom was also of decent size and toiletries were provided. The lobby of the hotel is cozy and decorated with rugs and other paraphernalia from the region. There are a lot of sofas and tables to sit and relax. There is a bar on one side and plenty of dining tables and chairs too though not sure for what purpose. The reception is stocked with a lot of booklets and pamphlets about the region and the city. Don’t think there is a parking in the hotel but there is a taxi stand right next door. The buffet breakfast was a big spread of the usual Turkish fare – olives, variety of cheese and jams, rolls and breads, fresh fruits and salad, salami – and the continental stuff – cereals, juices, tea and coffee, boiled egg, and sausages. The restaurant is at a level below the lobby and is very spacious with large tables and chairs. The white table cloth on the tables stood out with their spotless presence. We had a comfortable sleep in the night even though the hotel stands at the side of the main thoroughfare of the city. The surroundings were lively till late at night and we enjoyed our after-dinner stroll among the historical buildings and the charming bazaar. In the morning, the quietness of the surroundings was only occasionally broken by the barking of the stray dogs from the nearby cemetery who were a pleasant sight too. The staff at the hotel is friendly and welcoming and made our stay comfortable. We are so glad we chose to spend a day (and night) in Konya instead of just passing by this lovely city as a stopover. The hotel is very cozy, and the staff are really kind and helpful. It’s located in a very strategic area right across the street from Mevlana museum and Jalal Eddine Rumi’s tomb. The owner, Abdullah, is a very nice and humble man. I loved talking to him about different things.

My husband and I spent 1 night at this hotel, the location of the hotel is excellent being just across the road from the Melvana Museum. We had a room that overlooked the museum and the mosque which was great. The room was quite a reasonable size and we were given 2 luggage racks for our suitcases which we also appreciated. The only problem with the room was the shower which was very small and so difficult to get into and out of. It also needed a good clean. The wifi signal was quite strong although it was annoying that it kept logging out and I had to log back in. There was parking in front of the hotel and we had to give reception the key in case they needed to move it. I would have given this hotel a better rating if it hadn’t been for the breakfast. The breakfast was very disappointing. We were the first people to arrive at breakfast and many of the dishes appeared to be left overs from yesterday. The bread was also stale. Reception staff were quite helpful particularly the female receptionist.

Me and my family stayed at Balikcilar and had a beautiful stay! Very clean hotel with super-frienfly and helpful staff! The lounge has a lovely and homely feeling and a lovely energy with the view of the Tomb of Mevlana Rumi. The location is perfect if one wants to stay in central Konya, just across the beautiful Sultan Selim Cami and the Tomb of Mevlana. Reasonable price. Highly recommend this hotel!

I booked this hotel for 4 nights and stayed 6. Very pleasant room with a magnificent view on Selimiye mosque and Mevlana Museum. It's worthwile to ask for a front room, even if the back ones are of course more quiet. A very special mention for the staff, both at reception and at the breakfast room (excellent breakfast !). They are all so kind and helpful. No doubt it will be my choice again for my next trip to Konya.
