Wonderful stay at Albergo Diffuso in Kruja. The location inside the castle is truly special, offering an authentic atmosphere and stunning views from the terrace. Rooms were very clean, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kruja.

Fabulous location within the castle grounds, the finish and decor within the hotel is top quality. Slightly odd, though, to have a TV in the room that has no channels... Only Netflix and other subscription channels. Good breakfast served in a small restaurant, also within the castle grounds. Obviously, there is no parking within the castle grounds, but please avoid the free car park (near the football pitch, several minutes walk away, that the management suggest as an option) as our car was vandalised overnight.

I recently learned some deeply disturbing information about Kruja Albergo Diffuso, which has compelled me to leave this review. The owner of this hotel, located within the castle, has shown a shocking disregard for animal life. Xeni, a dedicated castle guard who has worked for the community for years, informed me of the owner’s cruel actions. Despite Xeni’s dedication and love for the animals that keep him company, the hotel owner despises animals. In a heartless act, the owner poisoned a 4-month-and-21-day-old puppy, Azuro , resulting in the poor animal’s death. This was not an isolated incident but rather a reflection of the owner’s ongoing hostility toward animals. I am appalled by such behavior and believe it is important for potential guests to know about this before considering a stay here. If you care about animals and ethical behavior, I urge you to avoid Kruja Albergo Diffuso.

Style. Extraordinary Albergo Diffuso (scattered hotel). The first in Albania Setting. Time travel within confines of Kruja Castle Explore. Mountain town Kruje. Hiking in the area. Museum on site to learn all about Albania’s legends Rooms. Was in a upstairs room, lovely balcony with views of the gorgeous castle. Room had a mini fridge so you can store cold drinks. @ the hotel. Parking is near bazaar outside castle. I had no idea where to park and had luggage with me but called and the owner Olsi Pengili came out to help me. Skipping checkin formalities was a relief after the long trip from Hong Kong to Albania. Sunset right in front of the hotel was magical and the whole Albergo Diffuso project Olsi is going through to restore and preserve this area is exceptional. The day I left, I had a punctured tire and the Hertz car did not have a spare, Olsi saved the day, a car mechanic showed up and fixed my tire on the spot! Food & drinks. No restaurant yet but plenty nearby. Originally wanted to go to Restorant Bardhi but ended up at Kroi, where they have fantastic staff, including the one that alerted me to my tire. Prices. US$88 Rating. 5/5 great experience

Che dire... semplicemente favoloso il progetto del primo albergo diffuso in Albania! La struttura si trova dentro le mura del castello di Kruja a due passi (sul vero senso della parola)dal Museo Nazionale Skanderbeg. Dietro la ristrutturazione di questa abitazione ci sono ore e ore di studio e di idee geniali che il padrnone di casa Olsi ha dedicato a questo progetto, ed i risultati si vedono tutti. Camere bellissime, vista spettacolare, attenzione spasmodica per tutti i minimi dettagli. Che dire il posto più bello dove abbiamo soggiornato in Albania! Consigliato a tutti, anche chi viaggi con bambini, alla alla ricerca di esperienze fuori dall'ordinario! Ed il progetto non finisce qui... perciò in bocca al lupo Olsi , grazie della tua splendida accoglienza e per averci fatto sentire come se fossimo a casa nostra!
