Green Fields Kumarakom

Had just one night here on an Intrepid Tour of South India. A lovely modern hotel with good rooms and restaurant. Pleasant staff too. There is also a nice swimming pool etc. What makes this hotel is its suburb setting overlooking paddy fields. There is a delightful raised outlook area to sit, have a refreshing drink, chill overlooking the fields/water and to watch the birds etc. etc. You can also do a great local walk around the river/water. Definitely recommended.

Ideally located and excellent service by the staff. Mr. Nibin the manager was very attentive, very helpful and friendly. It's ideal for group get-togethers and families. House boat ride was arranged by Mr. Nibin which was excellent. There is a very good massage place tied to this resort, worth it!

This peaceful hotel is positioned in a quiet spot overlooking paddy fields. Its outdoor area offered a wonderful raised platform which is a great place to drink a cold beer and watch the sun set. There is also a well kept pool and fitness room. My room was spacious and clean with an outside balcony. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and there was a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The breakfast buffet offered a limited range of options but the freshly cooked eggs and a pot of tea set me up well for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again.

It has potential but let down by poor service and tasteless food. The location is good, and it has a nice pool and is licensed, however, the dinner options were limited, many items unavailable, the dishes only came after the waiters had been reminded of what was ordered, and tasted nothing like the other Kerelan meals we have had which were fantastic. Breakfast was equally disappointing. The rooms again were initially good with balconies, but the same ratio of switches to light bulbs, ie a confusing range of switches. Did have a/c, but the bathroom was quite awful with an overly complicated shower system, simple would be better. The wi-fi was available but very weak. My advice would be to upgrade if staying round here.

Lovely hotel surrounded by rice fields. The staff, particularly the reception staff, are superb. Nice pool, great food and they even serve alcohol in the restaurant. Our room was a suite and it was exceptional. Well kept grounds, good for a stroll.

Had a chance to stay at this hotel a few days back. It was a very pleasant experience. We booked superior rooms which were upgraded to deluxe rooms free of cost by the hotel. Neat and clean, good ambience, surrounded by greenery as the name suggests, good food. Recommend this hotel for all.
