アーチボルド ホテル(Archibald Hotel)

Just stayed 2 nights at the Archibald Hotel. Now, if you're expecting 5 star, this is not the place to go.... however... It doesn't try to be anything it isn't. Rooms were clean, well fit out and the beds were comfy. The TV was great, had a kettle, fridge and good bathroom. The wifi was strong and never let us down. The pub below is a 2 minute walk down some steps and is a great place. Food was wonderful, staff very friendly and a ripper place to have a few drinks. I enjoyed our time there and certainly felt welcome. If you're looking for good, clean but simple accommodation, (even better if you're heading to a function at Loxley) this is a great place to stay.

We had great food for lunch and then for dinner at the pub . The room was clean , the bed was a king size , all in all it was fantastic staying there .

Great view, rooms away from pub area. Great meals. Our aircon only let very limited out, with 3 degrees outside in the morning it was very cold inside as well. We did complain, staff member ''reset'' the aircon and she claimed it showed 24 degrees inside on the aircon. On returning to the room there was no difference, just cold and yes the aircon showed 24 degrees. Showing 24 degrees on the crooked aircon doesn't mean the room is 24 degrees. It was very hard to have a shower the next morning because the room would have been less than 10 degrees. Just as well we had an electric blanket on the bed. Since the rooms were upstairs from the pub area there was a metal staircase to go down to the pub. It was raining, the staircase did have a railing on one side made of metal so nice and cold and wet and no lightning at night at all to get back up. Sorry your hotel may look great in the pictures but our stay was just COLD overall.

Nice place to stay, off the road so quiet. Room service for meals if needed. The only thing we found was that the heating wasnt very hot even though we had it turned to maximum, & we would have appreciatted a microwave in the room as my girlfriend didnt eat al the supper & we couldnt then reheat it in our room although they may have done it for us if we had asked

We stayed here on the spur of the moment due to a bad weather forecast and being simply tired from a long day. We asked to view the room first and found it to be large and clean, and at the back of the pub. There was even a view over the rooftop! So we stayed and because we avoided a booking platform got $20 off and paid $140. This was a good deal given the non availability of equivalently priced accommodations in the area for a Saturday night. We had a very comfortable night and ate in at the pub - a great fish meal by the way!! Yes there was some noise from the kitchen exhaust, the road and from a bit of music. But it was pretty quiet after 10pm. And this was a Saturday night. Yes there are some other limitations like the aircon didn’t get quite hot enough and the dated décor, but I commend the owners for making available affordable clean and comfortable accommodation on a Saturday night in an area that seems to caters for people with deep pockets.

The staff were nice and friendly, I enjoyed the stay.

Old hotel/motel, convenient stop on way to Katoomba. Room well maintained and comfortable. Great view from hotel downstairs.

This is a small motel-style attached to a pub, old style and nothing fancy. Could invest in an update. Convenient for our stay, and as a sleepover. Lunch at the pub was fine, and on a clear day, the view would be great.
