"The hotel is nice and clean. Their swimming pool was under repair but the hotel refunded CAD20 as compensation. We travelled with a child aged 7 months and they also provided a baby crib and kettle for us. The food at the restaurant was good and the staff were very nice. We had a pleasant stay there. Thank you."

"We stayed at La Vielle École [=‘the old school’] because we were looking for reasonably priced accommodations near Gaspésie National Park - the park is about half an hour’s drive away. The building is indeed a former elementary school, adapted sensibly to be a travel lodging, but it has the institutional look and feel of a former school. Everything was very clean and security seemed good (with occupants getting a key to the outside door as well as to their individual rooms); the microwave and mini-fridge in the room were in good condition; the place was quiet (and notices specified quiet time from 11 pm ’til some time in the morning). The location also has the advantage of being just across the road from a walkable stretch of beach (with a little gazebo not far away). and there is ample parking. The arrangement worked fine for us, but I want to clarify one feature that might be important for other travelers: There was no sink or bathroom in our room. There was a dormitory-style bathroom down the hall, but with a clever twist: each room’s occupants had a key for a toilet stall and a shower stall. This means that other people might be in the bathroom at the same time but that the occupants of each room have some control over ‘their’ spaces."

The hotel's guests took the relieve and followed our request until it ended: the replacement of the car. The restaurant was very comfortable and very comfortable. Quality ratio /prix remarkable.  "
