ホテル ソリニュー(Hotel Solineu)

I was a bit apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the other reviews, but it turned out the criticism I'd read was totally unfounded. This is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff. The front desk is always well staffed and they all speak fluent English. We had a bad time here because my daughter was ill but the hotel did all they could to help us get through it. They are always eager to help with any queries or problems. I'm especially grateful for the help they gave in arranging to get my daughter to hospital. The room itself was very nice. It was spacious and well equipped. There was a big bathroom with a bath with a powerful shower over it. There is loads of storage and a window that opens out to lovely mountain views. Some reviews mention noise from adjacent rooms coming through, and there was a bit of that but it seemed to actually be coming through the bathroom vent so it's easily solved by closing the bathroom door. The breakfast is pretty good. The hot food is fried eggs and bacon, then there is a selection of breads, fruit, pastries, yogurt, toast, juices and nice coffee.

BE WARNED and do not book this hotel. Look at all the reviews and you will get the general idea of why not to choose this place. Yes the staff are 100% horrid and the hotel is run by people that are made of stone. So un helpful if you have any problem at ALL!!! They will not budge on any request for help you may ask of them!!!! WIFI!! What WiFi? That doesn’t even exist so if you need to access WiFi for work etc then they DO NOT have it so be warned. We were taken on a wild goose chase to many of the rooms in pursue of any signal and it was not possible to get signal in any part of the hotel/apart hotel. We were told it’s a blip at the mo but that’s not the case. There is the most disgusting odour that is near the bar area, not nice when trying to enjoy a drink (that’s if you can get a seat in the small bar area for such a large hotel). The smell continues into the corridors of the apartments and in the bathroom of the apartment. The apartment is not fully equipped, as described, we had to boil water in a saucepan to be able to make some tea/coffee and there is no way of making toast. We paid for an apartment with a balcony and we did not have one. After asking at the front desk they said they didn’t have one and basically it was tough!! We had the description of a balcony on our booking confirmation but they were not interested in what was written at all. The apartment was uncomfortably hot and we were not sleeping due to not being able to open the sky light in the room. We had to leave this hotel if w head any chance of rest and being able to ski. The hotel did not give a damn about us and argued everything we spoke to them about. If you ever need to cancel or re-arrange then be warned they will not budge. There was no way they would compensate us in any way and was happy to kick us out of the door when we asked. We left and booked into the HG Molina which is well worth the extra money and right at the foot of the slopes. You may be thinking of booking this place due to its location but believe me that’s all it’s got. Ask yourself why this place may be the only place that has rooms left? Alarm bells should ring!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Hotel with bad service, everyday the breakfast (buffet) was inconsistent. Some days included fruit, fried eggs and bacon and other days only bread, cheese and ham. When fruit or eggs were required they said that was only for particular clients and not for groups. After we complain with the travel agency the hotel started to provide fruit and eggs but soon they seem to forget. The rooms were ok for the hotel level but the service was awful. Never more this hotel.

Descent hotel 4 minutes walk from the ski lift. The hotel is nice and cosy, with a good bed and a descent breakfast. There are some tiles loose here and there, but nothin hazardous. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This hotel is one of the stops of some trip for elderly people, but they are very lovely!

The price is a bit high, poor internet connection, great location though

Desastre como fuimos atendidos por la hija de la dueña, que se dedique a otra cosa. Es muy borde y desagradable, no tiene tacto con la gente. Nos dieron la habitación sucia, la comida pésima de elaboración, poca variedad y muy repetitiva

Jaume muy amable, limpieza diària en los apartamentos. Solo les recomendaría que la señora del hotel no interaccione tanto mientras los clientes comen, se hace algo molesto. Y sería importante para el hotel que mejoren el bufete, la comida deja mucho que desear.

Todo está estupendo, recepción muy rápidos en atenderte. Comida variedad y sin miseria, un hotel muy acogedor y familiar, espectáculo muy currado variado y vestuario elegante, los dueños acogedores y cercanos.

Relación calidad/precio: INSUPERABLE. Por supuesto que existen sitios mejores, más modernos, con mejores servicios e instalaciones, y hasta te sirven caviar y cava para desayunar....., pero claro, hay que pagarlo. La atención por parte de los responsables del establecimiento (Conchita, Ana, Xavier, etc etc), ha sido espectacular, siempre pendientes de sus clientes, los primeros que están y los últimos que se van del hotel. La comida bufé, casera 100x100, variada y abundante todos los días. Las habitaciones cómodas y limpias. Todas las noches hay espectáculos temáticos (No os lo podéis perder ) y después discoteca. Estuvimos varios dias un grupo de bastantes personas, y cuando nos fuimos, a las 09 de la mañana, allí estaban todos, Conchita, Ana, Xavier......, para despedirse de nosotros. Esos pequeños detalles son los que verdaderamente cuentan para que recuerdes tu estancia y quieras volver otra vez. De verdad, muchísimas gracias a todos.
