ホテル ザンクト ペーターシンゼル(Klosterhotel St. Petersinsel)

Absolutely loved this former convent turned into hotel, pretty much the single building on the St. Peter island in the middle of lake Biel. Reachable by boat, bike or on foot (a flat 4,5 km walk from the village of Erlach), this is the absolute perfect spot to unwind and forget that there is a world beyond the island. The rooms are beautifully furnished with modern amenities and appliances which hide many thoughtful, great ideas, such as lamps and perfect little nooks for your glass of wine by the bed. The on-site restaurant is a must do not because it is the only restaurant available but also because the ingredients they use are locally sourced and wonderfully prepared. There are lots of fish dishes with fish from lake Biel and they are definitely worth the try. Their deconstructed apple strudel was a creative, really pleasant surprise. All the above are well accompanied by the also local Chasselas white wine. Also loved their wonderful, prosecco-accompanied breakfast spread. Would love to return here again to enjoy more the amazing hospitality and the wonderful surroundings.

Beautiful and interesting location. The historical building was renovated and the rooms are modern and clean, although slightly small for the price (rooms 12 and 14). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant's terrace is very nice and the ambiance excellent, especially in the evening with the warm candlelight. However the only vegetarian (main) dish was really not so good, the Indian Daal was a bit undercooked and boring (big plate with just a lot of lentils), a bit disappointing. The surroundings are great to walk. Would definitively recommend it and go back.

The terrace is really very nice. We really enjoyed the food homemade and fresh (for exemple homemade ice tea and salads. The staff was always very nice. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and would go back.

Well, I enjoyed the food and drink here, the service was typically sporadic for a venue using so many student employees, but the food itself was clearly made on the premises freshly. Prices were decent enough, and we sat outside in the courtyard garden, which was well protected from the midday sun. I suspect it is a very popular venue with the walkers and cyclists venturing onto the insel.

An einem Sonntagabend hatten wir das Hotel buchstäblich für uns, wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Wir wurden umsorgt, beim Dinner sowie beim Frühstück gab sich das Personal grosse Mühe, morgens stand sogar ein Büffet nur für uns zwei bereit. Die Insel ist ruhig und landschaftlich sehr schön, das Hotel hat grossen Charme und ist eine Reise wert. Montags fährt das hoteleigene Shuttle leider nicht, auch die Parkplätze in Erlach sind bei schönem Wetter sehr voll - das sollte man bei der Anreise beachten.

Quelle merveilleuse surprise que cet hôtel si romantique. Nous avions la suite Baldaquin, quel charme. L'hotel est plendide, le personnel serviable, souriant et sympatique. Sans parler du coup de coeur au restaurant pour le repas du soir, un délice accompagné par les très bons vins de l'île. Et le brunch le matin, quel présentation et tout était très bon. On y retournera

Familiärer Empfang, lokale Küche vom feinsten, Personal kompetent (etwas mehr Schulung liegt allerdings noch drin). Infrastruktur ist als ehemaliges Kloster vorgegeben und positiv "besonders" und absolut entspannend. An- und Abreise zum geniessen.

Die Tolle Lage und ein wunderschönes Ambiente im Innenhof sind sehr einladend. Der Service war witzig und zuvorkommend. Leider konnten die Speisen das Niveau nicht erreichen und die Preise sind hoch. Insbesondere das Dessert war überteuert.

Es war ein super Zimmer, toller Service und sehr gutes Esssen. Klimaanlage wäre noch super gewesen, jedoch hatte es Ventilatoren.
