A beautiful hotel in an excellent (but quiet) location near to La Place de Verdun. The staff are very helpful and friendly at all times. The breakfast is excellent and has a great selection. The lovely garden area is very comfortable and close to the bar too. We were there for 5 nights and we found it most enjoyable. Particular thanks to Alice for the unexpected upgrade and to Linael for her advice about the lovely cheeses we brought home to Ireland. The hotel is very well located for the lively shopping areas, market and harbours at the centre of La Rochelle. It is ideal for the bus station at La Place de Verdun and for the Parc Charruyer.

Don't hesitate if you want to feel the French art of life!.... A decoration that highlights the architecture of the place. Very nice and quiet garden. A bar where you can enjoy cocktails in comfortable sofa. Pretty good breakfast inside or outside depending on the weather

Located in a quieter neighbourhood, yet at walking distance from the old town center and its harbour.

Nice place in the center of LA ROCHELLE city, very calm. Very welcoming staff ! I arrived very late in the evening. Concerning the breakfast, all you want is available, and taste good. No private parking but easy to find a public one

The hotel is ideally located and the service is really good. It is calm, beautiful and perfect for a business trip or vacation in the nice city of La Rochelle. I recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

Tranquil location only 10 minutes walk from the harbour, parking in the neighbouring square and a great place to stay and explore La Rochelle . Has a garden to relax in and is close to everything in the town

Great location and staff. Will refer all my friend and family - this hotel had all you need on vacation. It looked quite antique and modern at the same time. Everything was clean and just perfect. The size of the room was amazingly good.

Good hotel within easy walk of central town and harbour. Parking in square 5min underground and secure. Hotel has had a modern revamp since I stayed 8 years ago not all for the better. Thought bar a bit expensive particularly standard house wine at 9 euros. But nice helpful staff and a good breakfast.

Architecturally a lovely hotel with a pretty garden. There was easy parking nearby in the square across the road. Also a lift. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the breakfasts. Our room was spacious and at the back of the hotel so very quiet. The only disappointment was lunch in the garden on our arrival. The food was horrible, all defrosted from a freezer, nothing fresh, reminded us of eating in a ‘fast food’ place like MacDonalds and we only ate a few mouthfuls. Such a missed opportunity when the markets in La Rochelle are full of delicious food! Definitely stay there but don’t bother with their lunch!
