Reception was very slow. Finally got my room. The moment I entered I wanted a coffee. The plug did not work. So I had to try plugs which could work. Finally found one on the bedside table. Then it was leaking from the air conditioning. I did not complain as I was leaving the next. Very bad maintenance

My experience started out great with a warm welcome and easy checking. When I got to my floor I was greeted by an overwhelming and potent smell coming to find out it in all of the floor of the hotel. Smelled like a massive spray of insecticide. I noticed guests seemed to be unbothered by it or walked around carefree. I got to my room the bedroom space was as described/pictured in the Marriott bonvoy app. But the bathroom are like motel grade bathroom and black mold on the wall. I asked for a different room and the night manager was kind enough to show me different rooms on different floors available that night which I came to conclusion that all or most bathrooms are motel run down grade level but charging premium rooms prices. I wanted to check out so badly but I had arrived at 2am after a long 24 hr flight. The night manager promised he would speak with the day manager Kemi and maybe since it’s day shift there may be possible check out into a nicer room. When Kemi arrived she called and promised me on my third night I’ll get a room with an updated bathroom. No one called me on to update me on checking into this room with updated bathroom. I called about change of shift and Femi was the evening manager who almost did not want me to go to see this room with updated bathroom and kept showing me rooms with motel grade bathrooms. When I realized Femi wasn’t keeping Kemi’s promise. I told Femi my problem is not the bedroom/living room space which is the alright and acceptable can be better but my problem is this motel grade bathrooms that you all keep showing me. I didn’t pay about $350/night American dollars to come stay in a motel grade bathroom. Motel bathroom are worth less than $100/night but here I am paying $350/night for a glorified motel. All these showings of different rooms on different floors is how I noticed that the hallway are run down and dilapidated no one even considered painting or changing the carpet or making the smell more pleasant. It’s that potent toxic like smell. That you’ll smell on all floors except the lobby, which is also not well air conditioned. Hang around there long enough and you’ll need to take a shower. Back to my change of room story. So I called Kemi back after feeling manipulated asking for my promised upgraded room. That when I was moved to a “ blue bathroom” nice enough to feel comfortable taking showers for the $350/night I signed up for. Which I stayed 4more nights. Take home. There are plenty of hotels with beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Go look before you book. So you don’t fall for this mess. I’ll be posting a video in other platforms that allow videos to be posted so be on the lookout for the motel grade bathrooms. There are actually pictures available outside Marriott bonvoy app. I didn’t shop around until I saw my motel grade bathroom. So it’s my fault. Otherwise I had a pleasant experience of course (hence my 4/5 star) after my upgrade and staff were pleased but I will not be back only

Great visit! We kept extending our stay. Lots going on in this hotel. We had a junior suite and it was very spacious. Seems the rooms have been renovated. The halls could do with renovation too. Most of the staff are accommodating. However they need to be empowered to solve issues faster or have more senior staff present. Good location. Would go back.

I was very happy with my recent stay at the Four Points in Lagos. Immediately at check-in, Cynthia recognized my Bonvoy loyalty, clearly outlined the benefits and proceeded to consult with her manager in order to assure a room upgrade despite very high occupancy. Very professional and warm start to the stay. The place is always buzzing and it’s great to sit around reception at the cafe , drink good espresso and see a snapshot of Lagos life. The terrace bar has local craft beers on draft and gets a good crowd in the evening. The room was great, comfortable bed, ample space, strong WiFi and good air conditioning. Security is strict; thorough car entry controls, card control for elevators, meaning you don’t have to worry about relaxing during your stay. Location is great for all Victoria Island nightlife. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Lagos.

This hotel is well located in the CBD. The security is excellent. Rooms are large and comfortable although the AC is aggressive but it can be turned off which makes it pleasant. Lifts are card accessed. WiFi works well and is free. Beds are comfortable and very large. All works well in the bathrooms. Breakfast was very good and there was lots of choice. As is normal in West Africa, offerings are not consistent day-to-day - sometimes yogurt, sometimes not, sometimes pawpaw and sometimes not ... The bar and terrace were pleasant with part of the terrace sheltered.

I stayed several days at Four Points by Sheraton in Lagos and found the hotel excellent in all aspects. Everything works smoothly, there are no hidden dark spots, the staff is extremely client focused and proactive; these are all signs of a highly professional management not allowing room for amateurism.

The three star is only for the great staff and food services. The room on the other hand is something else. While the sheets and beds were very comfortable, the floors needed to be re-mopped because it wasn’t 100% clean when we arrived, The bathroom needs major updates. It was moldy and smelled. But for the dehumidifier and purifier, we wouldn’t have been able to survive our stay. Management really needs to do a better job maintaining the facility.

There were some positives and small negative to this hotel. For the positives, we had two rooms in this hotel during our stay. One of the rooms was good, no issues but the second room had mold in the bathroom. Other than the mold issue in the room, everything in the room was fine. AC unit worked great, refrigerator worked and kept drinks chilled. This is important because the weather in Lagos is hot and those chilled drinks come in handy. The onsite Indian restaurant (Cilantro) was excellent. The food was good. We also tried their rooftop bar, that was good as well. The staff during check in were friendly and welcoming. The one negative is that the hotel gets busy so traffic getting in and out can take some time. The location of the hotel is not great for walking around outside the hotel. Recommend always take a taxi or Uber when you want to go out.
