Illinois Beach Resort & Conf. Center; Best Western Premier Collection

My family and I were in town for a birthday party and we were excited to see that this hotel was back up and running with some great renovations! They’ve added refrigerators and microwaves to the rooms and we really liked the new decor. I’m looking forward to coming back in the summer to really enjoy the updates to the beach as well!

The new owners have improved this hotel and it really shows. They are showing that this will be a top notch destination. Adding fridges and microwaves in every room. Nolan's restaurant is absolutely amazing. And to top it all off, you have your own private beach! A beautiful site to see.

I grudgingly went back to this hotel after a HORRIBLE experience several years ago. (I had a family function nearby or I wouldn't have). Anyway, there are new owners and boy does it show. The hotel is now spotless and the rooms clean and new. The service was great and you can't beat the view of the lake. The restaurant has changed, i think its called Nolan's and I was very pleasantly surprised. Great food... good drinks and professional service. The beach is beautiful and they told me that they recently did a big job putting it all back together. Anyway.... glad i went back....and I'll definitely be back again.

Our wedding was booked at this venue in 2020. The hotel canceled our event due to facility issues and we have never received our deposits of $7,000+ back. I have been trying to get this back for years. I have written confirmation from the hotel manager and event coordinator that we would be getting our money back, that the check was in the mail, and then silence. DO NOT TRUST THIS VENUE WITH YOUR MONEY!

We arrived with our confirmed reservation in hand to find the front doors locked and a sign saying that the Illinois Beach Hotel was "Temporarily Closed"! Holly answered the phone and was most sympathetic, but not only did we not get the (romantic) king room with view of the lake and a balcony that my husband and I had reserved, but we were in a town we did not know with nowhere to go.

Love the hotel. Even though I booked the cheapest room and I knew that it would not have a fridge and microwave, it had a microwave in the lobby. That's not critical for me. It was clean, the lobby was modern and decorative. The view of Lake Michigan from the lobby was spectacular. No complaints. Im sure if I could afford the upper level rooms with the view, fridge, and microwave, it would have been even better. Will book again if the price is right.

Customer service too notch! I stayed here recently with my husband for a getaway by the lake. You definitely get quiet, relaxation here. We stayed in their King suite with balcony view. The view was amazing! It felt clean with comfortable bed, nice bathroom and lots of space. We had a microwave and fridge. The hotel was not completely renovated but that’s what gives it character. You could feel the history. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Peaceful place, no crowds, thank goodness.

We spent the weekend at Illinois Beach Hotel for our daughter’s wedding. it’s very cute hotel. The staff was wonderful. The wedding was beautiful. The food was great.. I love the view having a balcony overlooking Lake Michigan we could hear the crashing waves. It was such a relaxing place and something I will remember forever.

It was a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. My room was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out were smooth processes. One of the hotel's biggest advantages is its proximity to the beach and the hiking trails in Illinois Beach State Park. Nature enthusiasts and hikers will particularly appreciate the easy access to outdoor activities. This is an excellent choice for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.
