ザ ボロー(The Borough Lancaster)

We stayed one night ten days apart in the newly refurbished rooms in the courtyard. The bed was huge and lovely and comfy. The evening meal and breakfast the next day were delicious and generous portions. They cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The bar looked well stocked with an array of wines and spirits. All the staff we met were friendly and chatty and made us welcome. Ideal place to stop on our drive to Scotland and back again. We had to pay for overnight parking very nearby but plenty of spaces and not unreasonable.

Fantastic hotel, pub & restaurant. Ideal location, in a lovely quiet square. The room was beautiful, with plenty of character. Gorgeous spacious bathroom. Restaurant food, including breakfast, was excellent. Lovely staff who made our stay memorable.

I stayed with my wife for a quick romantic get away. The room was beautiful and fresh. The food was amazing and the staff were all very friendly. The location is perfect and nice and quiet We will be coming back. Just hope we can get the same room :)

The Borough is a pub. Accommodation was reasonable. The size of the room was good. minor irritants such as the washhand basin not draining quickly or properly and the shower soap dispenser being poor. The breakfast was excellent and included (inclusion was not mentioned when I booked). Lancaster is a great place to visit.

We booked a table for dinner (7.30pm) online but got turned back after arrival because they were fully booked? All we got was a sorry and we had to find a meal elsewhere. Quite poor they couldn't even let us know they'd overbooked before hand. Shame because I know the food is great. Good place for drinks though!

Spotlessly clean rooms,excellent staff I always stay here when visiting the nearby ( 200 yds) Grand Theatre( which is also wonderful.) A good night's sleep, followed by a fried breakfast of your choice I woukd also piint out The Borough is under 6 minutes walk fron the main shopping centre

I just wanted to say a big thank you! We came from the states into town to visit our daughter who was studying at the University and Hannah and Megan were so sweet to us during our stay last week. Hannah gave us some great tips of sights to see in the area and Megan we saw almost every evening. They were so nice to us. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We had a wonderful time there!

Warm welcome in a character building. Great food and a laid back feel. Decent menu, well cooked and presented and at reasonable prices. Dogs also made a fuss of! Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Stayed in a very new, very well appointed room. The food, drinks, and service at the pub and restaurant were excellent.
