I stayed in the Oyster Room for a weekend, and it was pleasant, with pictures giving an accurate representation of the room - if anything the bathroom is bigger than the pictures relate to me. For those interested in mattress type, this was a firm mattress, which some may find uncomfortable. However the downside to me was the service of the staff and the room needing some work. I found the staff to be rather unfriendly (as if they are just there to do a job), and did not show much interest. This started when I arrived at the guesthouse, despite having many bags to carry upstairs to the room, I was not even offered any assistance with the items I had to carry. At breakfast, too, there wasn't the usual interest or helpfulness like I have experienced at other guesthouses, such as what plans are while staying and offering suggestions accordingly. It was just breakfast being served and that was the only focus. And even then, there wasn't even enough effort in even just a coffee refill - and being busy wasn't a reason since there was only one other table, and this occurred both mornings. As for the room, the view and location is beautiful but it is outdated. The carpet has stains, the glass on top of the bay window is very dirty (although I do understand it's difficult to reach), and the panelling below the day bed in the bay window looks very worn. There is also no microwave in the room for warming milk to make coffee or for reheating anything, meaning that unless you want frothed milk from the Nespresso machine, you would have to go to the kitchen area (which is not ideal if you want morning coffee while still in your pajamas). However, the worst part for me was the state of the bath. I ran the bath when I arrived and tried the jets of the spa bath but only for a few seconds and then put them off. I soon realised in doing so that clearly it had not had a good clean in a while. Dirt and hair from what must be previous guests were sent into the bath water, and the last thing you want to do when its time to relax is clean someone else's bath. In general, although the location is great, the experience for me was not, and that makes the service rather overpriced. In my opinion, the guest house is capitalising on location and forgoing effort that should be put into the guesthouse maintenance itself and still charging the same prices. It wasn't what I was expecting, and this room being marketed as a honeymoon room is a real letdown for newlyweds
