Nice new suite - nothing worn and all in perfect operating condition. But not a single utensil in the kitchenette. No toilet plunger. Large, friendly cockroach.

Woah. This hotel has REALLY gone downhill in more ways then one. From the cleanliness to the furniture, amenities, breakfast…It’s NOTHING compared to what it was just a few years ago. Save yourself the trouble, book elsewhere… There are too many close by that are a lot better value & cleaner!!

The first night we were next to the elevator, not good! And we were not able to regular the heat as it was extremely cold for Laredo. The people above us were very rowdy! I asked to be switched to the top floor and away from the elevator and I was accommodated. The second night was much better, quiet, warm and a little more updated. The staff was great making sure we could switch rooms. Close to the airport and many eateries, which was a plus.

Only one issue the hall smelled like people had been cooking in their rooms. Carpets in the hallway stunk!

I checked in at around 5:20am on Thanksgiving morning. I'm a truck driver and was out of driving time and needed to take a mandatory 10hr break. The room was $215 per night. But because I was checking in at 5:20am and leaving the same day at 3:30pm the desk clerk informed me that I would be billed for 2 nights at a total of $ 431.12 for a 10hr stay. Tired and out of choices I reluctantly agreed. I checked out at 3;30pm and was on my way. Four days later I receive a notice from my credit card that I was being charged for a 3rd night at a rate of $215.78. So at this point I am Furious that my stay of 10 HOURS at a Holiday Inn Express is now costing me $ 646.90 . That Nap cost me $64.69 PER/HOUR. Thanks For Giving Holiday Inn!!

Rooms were hot and the A/C controls did not function. Units control knobs were removed and the wall controls didn't work.

Hello to all, this is my truth. We stayed here 1 night in October 2022. The hotel is very far from Interstate 35 but we thought, "it's alright because its a Holiday Inn Express-should be nice and updated". Nope not so much. First impressions are very important right? Well when me and my husband arrived he dropped me off in the front entrance, walked in and a young girl was waiting to pay for some chips and cookies she got from the concession area. I don't know how long she was waiting there but she finished all the chips and cookies and the RECEPTIONIST, later found out her name was CHLOE because she wasn't wearing a name tag. Well I waited for the receptionist for 15-20 minutes because she was in the restroom. My husband came into the lobby with our luggage expecting for me to have already checked in but NOPE he had to seat down and wait also. He said what happened which I proceeded to explain to him that the cleaning lady for evening had told me that the receptionist was in the restroom. My husband joked, "does she have stomach problems why is she taking so long"? Not sure why she took so long. Finally she comes out and was not apologetic at all. Also the girl with chips and cookies, left her note I guess letting Chloe know that she had taken the items and she was not going to wait any longer. Second issue- the hotel room that we got on the third floor was stuck in the 90's, it was old and dated. The sofa in the room was dirty and the lamps were old. The A/C was horrible-Why? Because if I want my room to be at 65 degrees, I expect it to be at that temperature, since I paid over $160.00 for that night. But the A/C was very loud and never seemed to have cooled down the room, for that reason, I did not have a good night sleep at all, kept getting up to check the temperature. Also, there was a dirty sink in the living room area and on top of the counter was a microwave and a small fridge bunched up together-not a good sight. The carpet is dirty and the TV was small. I do have to say that I enjoyed the water pressure when showering because it was a strong pressure and lots of hot water. The breakfast which was from 7:00 am to 10:00 a.m; was ok. It had a pancake machine, there was scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy, yogurt, cold cereal, warm cinnamon rolls and bagels and some muffins. It's what you expect from a breakfast at a Holiday Inn. Personally I will not stay here ever again!

Restroom tub had chips. Mold spots ceiling above tub. Body language from front desk staff changed once they found out I used *******. Makes me wonder if that the reason we were assigned that particular room. AC wasn’t the best either.

Front staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff not so much. By 8:05 several people asked for breakfast food and were told they had run out . They only had one single cup coffee maker for weekend use!
