Lovely staff and of course beautiful island. Rooms are awful but if your on a budget I guess it’s really good .

The hotel is full of beautiful and curated details and the rooms and overall structure are beautiful. It’s in front of the most beautiful beach of Holbox and has a nice beach club. However Personnel wasn’t very nice.

Overall average stay , it was fine for a short stay , area was a little run down but nice staff

Fantastic trip to the beach ! We really liked this hotel. It is right on the beach and they have a lot of chairs and lounges which always had room available (late July). The beach is kept reasonably clean and we didn’t see much sargassum. The front desk staff is wonderful and incredibly courteous and helpful. A beachfront hotel in a place like Holbox is never going to be as comfortable as a chain hotel in Cancun. The place was not super modern but they seemed to be working on it constantly. One day the eggs hadn’t arrived yet in the morning, and you have to be careful to keep the sliding glass doors shut so raccoons don’t come in your room. But this is part of what you expect when you stay on a small island with no paved roads. The shower is hot and the AC works. The beds are really hard and don’t have comforters on them, just a sheet and bedspread. It’s easy to get a taxi (150 MXN) to downtown or walk 20 min. The upstairs pool was great and had several different things to eat.

This is a perfect hotel ,the beach is gorgeus and the view is amazing Carla was a good server,if you want a place to relax this is it !!

Great stay - but room for improvement My partner and I spent 5 nights at Villas Tiburon on beautiful Holbox and loved the service from Karina, Laura, and the entire staff. However, a few areas could use improvement. Breakfast – The included breakfast is very minimal: one slice of toast (cut in two), a few fruit slices, and coffee or tea. For something that’s charged extra, it should offer more variety and larger portions. Food menu – While the Mexican dishes are appealing, the portions are small and pricey. We found other hotels on Holbox serving bigger meals at the same or lower prices, including the most expensive ones. Beachfront/sargassum cleaning – During our mid-July stay, Holbox was mostly free of sargassum, but the little that did arrive remained in front of Villas Tiburon. Neighboring hotels cleared theirs, which made a visible difference. A small cleanup effort would go a long way in enhancing the beachfront. Music – This applies to many Holbox hotels: loud music plays most of the day and night. Some guests want a party vibe, others seek peace. It would help if the hotel asked guests about preferred volume levels, especially in the restaurant, bar, and beach areas. These points are all meant as positive criticism to make the hotel even better. We recommend the hotel as is, but it would be a much better experience for a holiday if these areas found more attention and improvement.
