The hotel is great, the view from the Horizon suite is incredible, the sunrise and sunset from the room is amazing, the chef's food is very good and the staff's attention is impeccable. The location is ideal for a peaceful stay, although it is a bit far from the downtown. The only inconveniences I had were the presence of ants, but this was not serious and the lack of maintenance of the hydromassage tub. If I go back to holbox I would definitely book the same hotel.

DAY 1 I booked transportation from the Cacun with the hotel many months before the arrival. I emailed them many times to confirm and they would rarely get back to me. When they did respond they would just ask for my flight info again. over and over again. I kept giving it to them and would ask who/what I am supposed to look for when I arrive to the airport. They never gave me the details. So of course when I landed in Cancun, there was no one there to pick us up. We called the hotel several times and when they finally answered they kept me on hold for almost an hour telling me that there is somewhere there but would never give me details. They kept saying to look for a man in a black shirt. It got to the point where we saw a taxi man (in a blue shirt) answer a call and write my name on a piece of scrap paper and pretend he was there the whole time. We witnessed the entire lie. When I asked the hotel manager, Shamara, about this, she lied to me again and said that the driver was always there and never once apologized to me. Upon check in, our room was full of termites. We messaged the manager about this and she said “yes. this is a common problem in this room” and she sent an employee up with Raid to spray. This was late at night and we were about to sleep so I asked to not spray right now and I will do it in the morning before we leave the room for the day due to the poison.
