My door lock was messed up hard to lock the door . Breakfast buffet they had pancakes and crepes. But they were cold not kept on a warming plate . 1 cut up fruit per morning. Scrambled eggs but only 1 day out of three any bacon, and it was lying in a pot of grease. Not a 20 dollar breakfast. The hotel had no work space office with a computer. Very little English spoken. Hard to believe they were right across. The channel from England.

I booked a one night stay at this hotel, as my husband and I were driving back from Bilbao to London. I booked a double room, and received a confirmation email saying that it was a double room for 2 adults with breakfast included. On checkout, the employee told my husband that I had booked a double room but for one person and therefore we needed to pay 30 euros for an extra breakfast. He took her at her word and paid, however, I went back to the email, where it clearly said a double room for 2 adults with breakfast included. She then produced a printed document saying that I had booked for one person, and refused to refund me for the breakfast. We were in a hurry, so we left. But when I emailed them again to complain, the produced another document in French, saying that the room was for 2 people, as they had denied before, but with only one breakfast included ! What person would book a room for two people with one breakfast ? And if so why had the confirmation email not clarified this, but only the piece of paper they later produced. The whole affair left a bad smell, and I am not sure whether it's simply incompetence or a kind of scam. The room itself was dimly lit, and the bathroom wasn't very well cleaned, so overall would not recommend this hotel. The last email I had from them promised to raise the issue to the managment. That was 10 days ago, and I have heard nothing since. What this amounts to is hidden charges that are not clarified and written up front to the customer.

Not recommended at all... Greedy bugs throughout, especially in front office whilst checking out. I have been in touch many many times over the past month, but have not received an explanation, apology or any recompense. Much better (and more honest) hoteliers to be found in Le Mans.

We stayed on our way back from the South of France going back to England. We had adjoining rooms with our young children. We found the staff friendly and the hotel charming. It is a little dated but quirky!. It was well priced and we would recommend. Central Le Mans was very easy to walk to we would definitely try to stay here again

A building somehow demands respect as it seems historical (did not look into it). Rooms old style nice, had a big room in upper floors. Air conditioning not the best but okay, water pressure not the best but okay. Did have a walk in closet. Wifi could have been better. A very good breakfast and convenient ocating within a walking distance from both the railway station and the city center (including historical part). Tram stop basically right in front of the hotel.

Great location, nice old building, reasonable price. Would stay again. Downsides are that the carpets are dirty in the rooms, while the toilet was not well secured to the floor.
