Hotel is suffering. Stained carpet everywhere, beat up furniture, shredded drapes. The rooms had dirty walls and fluids running down them that were never cleaned. There was body hair on the bed sheets and other debree. The breakfast was being over controlled by the front desk and had to ask for a lot of the items when needed. Overall this hotel needs to be reviewed by the Holiday Inn brand. I will not visit again.

In the hotel and hospitality business, the difference between average and excellent is often found in the details. On checking in to any hotel/motel whether on personal or business travel, we always check several things before settling in (e.g., does the room smell musty, does the TV work, does the toilet and shower/tub drain, etc. On checking in to the property, we found the room was fairly clean but the toilet did not flush nor was there any TV remote control. We visited with them at the front desk then waited for "house keeping" to show up with a plunger. Pay attention to details. Even to the point where it would have been quicker to give us a different room. Best thing about our stay in Leroy, Illinois? the nearby cafe - "Jacks".... good food and most pleasant server.

I will start by saying the manager and staff at the hotel were all very kind and accommodating. However the interior of the property lacked an overall cleanliness. Hallways and stairs littered with paper, doors to maintenance closets left wide open for 2 days, breakfast/coffee station dirty. When we checked into our room it was obvious the room was missed by the cleaning crew; debris in the shower, visible stains on multiple pillows, floor not swept, just to name a few. It is understandable that mistakes happen. When we discussed our findings with the front desk personnel he apologized and gave us another room but wanted us to go up to the new room to make sure it had been cleaned. The second room was indeed cleaner but excessive mold in the shower, broken drawers and stained furniture was not what I was expecting either.

Staff were pleasant. Due to the weather, the TV did not work. The furniture was a little used, but room clean. Breakfast was average. Soda machine took money and did not give change or proper drink. Location very handy off interstate. Sign on highway was blown out, both sides prior to our stay. Curtain rods broken. Door in room to bathroom very squeaky. The highway is med-to-loud sounds. Refrigerator worked well.

All in all not a bad experience except that our bathroom was NOT clean. It makes me wonder what else wasn’t cleaned properly. The toilet was stained with ( you know what) and there was a dirty wash cloth in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, lots of options.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel since 2019 and this was the worst. This hotel has really gone downhill. It is looking very tired both inside and out. We stayed here for 8 nights, as we have family living nearby. Upon entering the room we noticed that there was a film of dust on all of the furniture and that the carpets needed a good clean. Worse was to come though with the housekeeping. The towels and the bins were emptied for 2 days and then we seem to have been forgotten. After complaining at reception, we were given clean towels and told that the bins would be emptied the next day. They were, but that was it. We complained again and they were changed once more before we left. We were also not given any complimentary tea or coffee for our room. After complaining about the housekeeping when checking out, we were told that 'the hotel is in the middle of a revamp'. Really? I would also like to add that the 'hot food' at breakfast was far from it, the 'heated swimming pool' was not and as for 'free premium TV channels ', no they weren't. All in all we decided that this was the worst hotel stay that we have ever had and have no intention of using it again.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. The on- duty manager was nice and accommodating. The room was as pictured. The noise from the freeway and the truck stop on either side of the hotel made sleeping almost impossible. The dining room was in need of repair.

Overall, a good place to stay one night. Bed comfortable, and we slept well. Bathroom needs a bit of repair near the tub behind the door, but otherwise things seems in good repair. Breakfast was very good, eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, pastries, anything you could want. Would stay again.

The room smelled like old cigarettes. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was a lightbulb burnt out in the bathroom. I usually go out of my way to find a Holiday Inn. Very disappointed. It was overpriced due to events going on either city, and the cities were booked.

The room was very clean, mattresses very comfortable. The eggs for breakfast were the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in a hotel. And the bacon was crispy and very good quality. I would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel enroute to Florida for my winter travels. I left a shoulder canvas bag in lobby. When I called the hotel about my bag they assured me they would check with day staff. I found out from the manager Carol that my bag is safe in her boss office and since I am a gold member of IHG they would send my bag complimentary. I was so happy as I had some personal things in that bag that I needed and wanted. I didn’t receive the bag in a timely manner and started calling about every ten days. The answer always was her boss is taking care of it. It is now 2.5 months later and still no bag. Carol has given me her boss email address. No response to my email. I contacted corporate customer relations for help. They have not had any response. I am so sad and disappointed that this package has never been returned to me nor have I received an answer that sorry, the bag is lost. The only answer I have had is the bag was sent.
