A very charming and well located historic hotel right on one of Leiden's canals. The room was cosy, and the breakfast, served on an étagère (pretentious, but it worked!) was delicious. A delightful two night stay and base from which we saw the hightlights of Leiden and Keukenhof.

We stayed in the Deluxe Apartment which lived up to it's title. Very clean , spacious and with high spec fittings including a Villeroy and Bosch Spa bath. The hotel is very special and has lots of character but more importantly the staff are helpful and charming. Leiden is a special city with so may claims to fame. History , beautiful buildings and canals, lovely shops and masses of great places to eat out. We had a lovely Anniversary in this unique city.

We stayed 2 nights and found a hotel with nice character, superb friendly service from arrival to departure. Nothing was too much to ask. Particularly good breakfast choices and again welcoming and helpful service. Well located for the old town with very good restaurant choice within walking distance.

A nice little hotel on the canal very close to the old town and port. The main members of staff Audrey and her afternoon colleague were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are superb in the spacious dining room with a wide range of cooked and buffet choices. The room we had was a little dated but with a small but functional bathroom but perfectly adequate. There was an unusual room cleaning arrangement whereby you had to ask for new towels & tea/ coffee replenishment etc but it does keep the costs down. All in all a very good place to stay.

We especially enjoyed the staff. They were all so accommodating it made our stay very special. The only disappointment was finding that your restaurant no longer served dinner.

What a lovely room! We had such a great experience at this excellent boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed and our room was made available earlier than expected, which was very much appreciated. The staff was extremely helpful and was able to secure museum tickets for our next stop ,as my phone was acting up. We had a beautiful, clean room facing the canal. We did not participate in having breakfast at the hotel, due to our schedule, but it looked lovely. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this hotel as a wonderful choice when staying in lovely Lieden.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent - quiet at night but a short walk to the shopping dining and tourist attractions. We stayed in the two bed apartment which was beautiful and spacious with kitchen and laundry facilities as well as a small private roof terrace. There was an issue with a leaking shower which proved difficult to rectify but the staff made every effort to fix this and fairly compensated us for the inconvenience. Overall we loved our stay and would stay here again.

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our tour of Holland. It certainly set the standard for our trip. The hotel is set in traditional buildings facing a canal in Old Leiden. We were warmly greeted on our arrival before being shown to our lavishly decorated room. The hotel buildings are narrow and tall like most of the old Dutch buildings and have been sympathetically renovated with many of their original features. This includes the staircase which is steep, narrow and winding. Taking our suitcase up to our room was challenging but we were assisted by the willing receptionist. I have to say it was well worth it, our room was stunning with lovely view over the canal. The room its self was fresh and clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was optional and we did opt for breakfast, which although it was quite expensive, it was well worth paying for. There was a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks that were all freshly prepared for you. In particular the extensive egg and tea menu's were quite impressive. The breakfast room itself was exquisitely decorated with panels of Dutch landscapes to browse whilst you ate. Old Leiden was also a beautiful part of the city and our hotel was the perfect base.
