Ik had een kamer gereserveerd bij Le tordoir voor 08.09.23. Omdat we rustig van Parijs afzakten arriveerden we om 16.30u ter plekke, terwijl we op de vraag van de host hadden aangegeven te zullen aankomen tussen 17-18u. De host was gestoord - ‘ we zijn niet klaar - de kamer is niet droog - als iedere gast zoveel te vroeg zou arriveren zouden wij geen leven hebben’. Hoewel ik me 2 maal excuseerde, 1 maal voorstelde nog even te vertrekken en om 17u terug te komen, en 1 maal voorstelde op het terras te wachten, bleef de host herhalen dat we dan maar moesten binnenkomen maar dat dit niet volgens afspraak was. We zijn uiteindelijk vertrokken. We hebben in de buurt een slaapplaats gezocht en gevonden waar we met open armen en een fris glas water ontvangen werden. Du jamais vû. Ik ben bijna 70, heb vele reizen op de teller maar dit…. Mijn rekening werd gedebiteerd - geen excuus of teken van erkenning. Toerist ben je met een gul hart, host liefst ook… Vanaf nu reserveer ik enkel nog hotels.
