We were a family of 12 with ages ranging from 17 to 85 and we all had a fabulous stay here. The house is stunning, every bedroom was large, comfortable, beautifully decorated with lovely comfy beds and large ensuites. We loved the bar area with the large tv, the huge dining room and really liked the sitting room where we could all sit together in comfort. The kitchen is large and extremely well equipped, lots of fridge space for all our food and drink! The house is absolutely spotless, well done to the housekeepers. Communication with Henry was excellent. All in all, not a single complaint and a good time was had by all for our special birthday weekend, despite the dismal British summer weather!

Excellent stay in the Lodge, a smaller building at the back. Lovely one-bedroom apartment, all well fitted out, very neat and clean and well appointed. Good sleep quality. Very friendly and helpful host. Things to watch out for? The entrance driveway has been made as wide as reasonably possible, but because of the curve of the main road, you may miss seeing it the first time, and may need assistance driving out if the road is busy. Had a lovely time there - highly recommended.

This place is from home to home.There is parking facilities. 05 minutes walk to shops. Clean modern decorated, spacious, comfortable beds with clean crisp sheets. Rooms are spacious bright had kettle and tea coffee facilities and desks if if you wanted to work. En suite modern bathrooms.Penny and Henry are friendly and saw to our needs. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

We stayed in the Holt 1 bed apartment, lovely Clean, tidy, warm and most of all had a comfortable bed which was needed after a long day walking the dales Literally 5 minutes walk to main town of Leyburn with plenty of dog friendly pubs that serve delicious home cooked food Not really a negative but as this is Yorkshire and most people would stay to walk the dales and it’s very well known for its wet weather it would’ve been helpful to have a washer/ dryer as we got wet and muddy and had nowhere to clean our clothes, the apartment does not have radiators it’s all underfloor heating and so there are no radiators to hang wet clothes, would’ve been nice if apartment had a heated airer for this purpose

Eastfield Lodge is a real find. We are a group of 15 friends who meet every year for 2 or 3 nights in a different part of the country. Eastfield Is one of the very best: all the rooms were comfortable with everything we needed. The sitting and dining rooms were comfortably big enough for us all. There is a smaller room with everything one needs for drinks: kettle, teas, coffe, large drinks fridge, smaller fridge with fresh milk, mugs and glasses, and comfortable seating. There is a good boot/drying room. But best of all are the breakfasts: freshly-made porridge or a wide range of cereals, lots of fruit, seeds and spices, and the most superlative choice of freshly cooked breakfasts from the traditional to vegan to poached egg on smashed avocado on a field mushroom with real tomatoes and bacon or sausage. The house is just off the market place in Leyburn so one can walk from the door. Although it is on the main road, one does not hear the traffic at all.

We had 8 rooms - so the whole lodge for the August 2023 Bank Holiday Weekend. 5 families with adults, elderly people and kids. We drove from London Friday evening and reached by 11pm. The keys collection was already explained to us in email - the check in was super smooth. The property was immaculately cleaned, with room numbers and guest names marked clearly on a blackboard. The owners had baked a very tasty cinnamon cake for all of us to eat. Ground Floor: has a large breakfast area, a bar area, a large seating area with sofas, a well equipped kitchen. And there are separate large double/triple bed rooms with en-suite bathrooms on the first and the second floor, The beds, matresses, linens, toiletry were absolutely top class. All of this makes it the best place for a large group for Yorkshire Dales Moor Park, City of York and the lovely Leyburn town. Saturday: the whole group did the circular walk from Muker to Kerk. The drives through the Yorkshire Dales was fabulous. We had lovely food and cream teas at the Muker Tea Room. Sunday: We spent our time exploring the historic city of York. Checked out on Sunday. We made breakfast (Co-Op 5 mins walk from the Lodge plus the town centre and the pubs are within 5-6 mins walk as well). Best place for a large group in the Yorkshire Dales.

We stayed recently in The Holt, which is a beautiful, modern, spacious and well equipped property. The photos don't really do it justice, there is loads of space and the bed is a super king-size (or bigger?!). The sofa bed in the living area is described as suitable for one adult or 2 small children, which is about right (it was a little small for my 2 bigger children). Henry and Penny are great hosts; really friendly and super helpful. The information provided before the holiday was really useful, and they were attentive during our stay. We had the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. The location is perfect; Leyburn is a beautiful town with a scenic backdrop and several great pub & restaurant options.

I rented the whole of the big house at the beginning of April for a special celebration. Henry and Penny were wonderful from the outset: lots of little touches, kind, generous, accommodating, flexible and friendly, available but not intrusive - the perfect hosts. The house is gorgeous; incredibly well-equipped (the kitchen is amazing), lovely big rooms, no noise from the road, breathtaking views and a perfect venue to unwind with friends without worrying about the neighbours. Thank you to them for being wonderful hosts and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eastfield Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable home-from-home.

Penny & Henry who run the lodge were so welcoming and provided everything we needed for our stay! We stayed in the den (separate apartment) which was the perfect treat to end our camping holiday. Can't recommend this place highly enough & would definitely return. Mads & Ralph
