オテル デュ ラック(Hotel du Lac)

The hotel is not on the lake as its name implies. It's only a short walk from the lake and I don't think any rooms have a view of the lake. As we were there only for one night, this didn't worry us as it was close to a few things, including the lake. The bedroom and bathroom are really nicely designed and feel large. Whilst there is no on-site parking, there is a public carpark nearby. The breakfast was quite acceptable. Unfortunately, we had a room facing a pedestrian area and it was very noisy at night with teenagers being over boisterous, so it was a bit difficult to get to sleep initially. Ask for a room on the other side to avoid this.

Stayed one night. Comfortable and easy access to the train station. There is a closet to store luggage if you arrive before check in. Breakfast was wonderful.

A very nice hotel in the city center of Locarno and with a great view over the Lago Maggiore and the mountains surrounding.

Great place close to plaza for restaurants and shopping. Locarno is the best kep secret in switzerland….all Italian with little english but we had no problem

Our stay was OK to good. I am upset about the strict enforcement of the cancellation rules. The hotel would not accept dogs and we realized this too late, having to pay for one night even though we had two other rooms booked for two nights. The best of the hotel is the nice and friendly staff.

The staff are all so lovely, professional and accommodating and the breakfast was just delicious. We were made to feel welcome and the view from our balcony to the lake was spectacular. The addition of free water was welcome.

Building architecture and location is excellent. Quiet although in centre of town.
