We arrived this weekend and were greeted by Emma who was fantastic. I then used the spa where I cannot speak highly enough of Laura. The spa was professional, clean and very relaxing. The room was gorgeous and we had been upgraded to a river view. Thanks again Emma. The only downside was the oak room, our meal was included in the package. Sides had to be paid for separately which I don’t mind but here’s where it went wrong. Dinner was booked for 7:30, we got our drinks and first course, my friend got the soup but had to ask for bread, then we waited, and waited, around 8:30 we got our mains (risotto and cod) neither dish was was particularly nice, my friend had then ordered her side of chips and asked for a little pepper sauce (which was also charged at £4.50). We then were waiting again and again by 9:30 I had to ask for someone to order the desserts. 10pm came and we asked for the bill, it arrived with a total of approx £98! I had to explain our dinner was included in the price, we waited again (no apologies), to receive another bill which wasn’t ours (completely wrong sides and drinks), again no apology and we waited once again to eventually get our correct bill. Breakfast however was perfect, staff were lovely and overall it was a lovely stay I would just recommend going elsewhere for dinner unless it changes.
