This place is amazing! And spending Christmas here was the best experience I had in a couple years. Feels cozy and like home. You can meet a lot of very nice people here. I wish I could stay for New Year's Eve. And of course, Angie is the best host. Thank you Angie!

Gjestehuset is simple but it does the job. Shower and toilet is in the hall but that's no problem. The breakfast is very nice, especially the waffles. It is a bit of a walk to and from town but it is definitely doable. The place is very good value for money

Great value for money! The staff are very nice! Breakfast also tastes good. Although it is a bit far from the center of the town, the road is easy to walk and the room is very clean, the restrooms and shower room are clean and adequate. Overall it was a great stay.

Great hotel,very reasonable prices, good breakfast and over looking glaciers what’s not to like, meet ppl from all over the world make new friends, staff was very helpful also. Little bit far from the centre but you are there to explore the area.

Nice hostel at the end of Longyearbyen, about 20min of walk from the center. Breakfast is tasty, both sweet and salty. And hot coffee and tea are available all the time. But 4-beded rooms are too small for 4 people so I really raccomend to book a double room.

The room was very warm and the breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles, which cannot be found anywhere. Thanks to the perfect breakfast, we had the energy to take risks during the activities. The counter staff are also very patient and willing to help solve problems.Thank you, Angie.

A beautiful place out of the town, everything nice and clean. Really good breakfast everyday. Receptionists very friendly and willing to help u with anything anytime. We have seen beautiful northern lights just outside of our room. If we go back to Svalbard we gonna stay here again 1000%

A very nice, homely and clean hostel, just outside of town, but ok for walking into town or a short taxi-ride. The staff were lovely and very helpful, never failing to helpfully answer many questions about activities and suggestions for finding things in town. The shared room was clean and functional; there is a communal room with TV and sofas on each floor, as well as a shared, fully functional kitchen on each floor. Breakfast is simple but more than adequate. I really enjoyed my stay here and will hopefully come again.

If you don't mind the walking to and from the town and the shared bathroom, this is the best choice and more affordable. The breakfast is great, the location amazing, the place feels like home and the staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. Also, you can walk during dark hours to and from town, as the road is illuminated.

Amazing experience. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I was a bit worried about the distance from the accommodation to the centre of the town. But it was just a short walk through a safe area. I will definitely be coming back here ❤️. Also great view.

Five star experience at Longyearbyen. Angie and her colleagues were very friendly, and helpful with organizing tours and local tips. The hostel & room matched description. While the hostel is a bit outside of the town, the location is perfect with the view of mountains behind the hostel and for aurora hunting. We were lucky to see the northern light during our stay.
