グアカマヤ ロッジ(Guacamaya Lodge)

I can't say enough good things about this casual lodge in the Guanacaste region. Very walkable to a natural beach, lovely pool (with enough chairs!), fantastic food and service. It was nice to have the tennis court on property, and we used it a couple of times. I probably would not recommend this location in Costa Rica for families with young children - you'll find more kid-friendly pursuits near Tamarindo. But if you want to chill in a low-key vibe and a very well maintained property, this is a gem.

We would highly recommend this property. It is clean, beautifully located on a hill close to the beach with a wonderful restaurant and gorgeous pool. We were treated like family. And we even heard the howler monkeys.

My boyfriend and I had the most relaxing stay here. It was our favorite stop in Costa Rica thus far. The property itself is gorgeous, the food is incredible and the people are so nice and accommodating. We felt like family and will most certainly be back again! Do not hesitate to come here for a little rest and relaxation. It was just what we needed.

We were recently in Junquillal, looking at property, and the Guacamaya Lodge was recommended as a great place to stay. We arrived mid-day on Thursday with only a one night reservation but soon after arriving — meeting everyone there, enjoying the comfortable room and the fantastic restaurant and bar, we canceled our plans to leave on Friday and spend another full day and night! EVERYONE there (Alice, Bernie, Joe, their amazing team — and the guests!) was extraordinarily polite, friendly and accomodating. The bar and restaurant were both terrific, the grounds were well maintained and the pool was spotless! If you are in the area, you must give the Guacamaya Lodge a try! It is heaven on earth! Thank you, everyone!

Ate at the restaurant for lunch and ordered ceviche and chicken buffalo wings. Both were tasteless. The cerviches was served with stale tortilla chips. The chicken wings were dry and had neither pepper or salt on them. They were just fried without any seasonings. I drank water with the meal that came to almost $30.

Exceptional lodging. Very friendly staff. Restaurant has great food. Definitely recommend staying at this peaceful Lodge.

Great place to have a quiet time surrounded by local nature and hospitality. The beach is a 5 minute walk. Great pool and bar.

Nice garden and pool. Air cond in the room very noisy. Small bed, bathroom need renovation. Beach is very quite, no infrastructure in the nearby.

A beautiful oasis n the middle of almost nowhere. Comfortable and good value for the money.
