I have been coming back to this hotel for years, and I think it is the best value luxury hotel in the city. You really have to come and see if yourself how gorgeous it is to sit by the beautiful pool with its hand-glazed tiles and look out over the mountains and see the temple lit up in the distance. It is just exquisite.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed this superb hotel; the rooms we large and very well serviced. The staff were just beyond amazing and could not do enough for us, as soon as we arrived they knew our name and had our key ready for us. In particular No, Chantee and PhoneVilai were outstanding and went beyond to make our stay extra special. Superb hotel, amazing staff, will certainly visit again. Our home away from home!

An outstanding, tranquil, tastefully decorated small hotel with an excellent staff, excellent food, and beautiful view. Everyone is very attentive and helpful. This was a wonderful, very relaxing end to our tour and I highly recommend it as a place to stay.

One of the best hotels we have ever been to.DThereThe And we have been to many hotels, around the globe, but also many in Southeast Asia and also in Laos. The staff are excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The location is unique, the facilities of the highest standard. The welcoming ceremony deserves special mention, we have not experienced anything like it even in the South Pacific. There is not a single thing to criticise.

We really enjoyed our stay in La Residence Phou Vao! The hotel has a fantastic location, overlooking the green valley. It is only a few minutes away from the center of Luang Prabang. Here you can relax and enjoy. The staff take great care of you, the food is fantastic and the SPA and pool allow a relaxing break. A magical place!

Great charming place between nature and colonial style, good place for a break and holiday with the kids, they enjoy the pool. Team staff are warm welcoming with local traditions and culture. Recommend the boat excursion and the dinner at garden with candles.

The La Residence Phou Vao is a gorgeous property. It was the former royal residence and does not have a hotel feel. It is a very special resort. Highly recommend La Residence if you find yourself in Luang Prabang.
