On arrival to the hotel we asked if we could drop our cases as we were working in the area and wanted to drop our stuff to be told no the rooms haven’t been cleaned yet as we were fully booked the previous evening.. fair enough however we later discovered no one had stayed the night before and the rooms were all ready… the rooms were beautiful and the hotel itself is stunning and true beauty… the lovely lady working in the evening with the grey/blonde hair was a true asset to this hotel nothing was too much trouble for her… I was a bit concerned to see management walking around barefoot around the main reception in what looked like scruffy sportswear this wasn’t a very professional look in my personal opinion. The hotel itself is beautiful however I feel the manager lacked care for her surroundings including not being bothered to check people in earlier. Better service at a premier inn or travel lodge from management….. breakfast however was probably one of the best ones Iv had in a hotel.

Driving through idyllic country lanes surrounded by farmland with sheep and new born lambs was a beautiful experience and our first introduction to the lovely, imposing old building, now the Longworth Hall Hotel. On closer inspection, the building is not in the best condition. The exterior requires a lot of maintenance. Everything is just tired, broken and quite shabby. We soon realised that this also applied to the interior where everything is very "worn". The Hotel does try to carry the "country house" feel with a lot of the original decorative features & furnishings but fails due to lack of maintenance and care. My teenage granddaughter and I shared a large twin room with a very large window overlooking fields and a few grotty outbuildings. There was a generous wardrobe, dressing table, TV, bedside tables (with lamps), mirror, two chairs, kettle, coffee machine and ample tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc. BUT NO HAIRDRYER. The room needed painting, cracks required filling, furniture did not match and one curtain was hanging off. In the night the window rattled a lot, but in fairness it was a stormy night. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was clean and the room was clean. The ensuite covered the basics. The bath had a shower hose (it definitely wasn't a shower) above it but the "shower screen" was propped up on the floor against a padlocked cupboard next to the bath... Hand was & body wash were provided but NO shampoo or conditioner. Breakfast was good. A small but adequate selection of yogurts, cereals, fruit, juice and a toaster with bread provided. The cooked breakfast was lovely, well made, albeit quite small. One: rasher of bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, mushroom. Plus beans, fresh tomatoes. Despite all the above negatives, I would stay here again because it was cheap (£78 for the night for the two of us) and it was clean and comfortable.

Was due to spend three nights at hotel 12th to 15th Sept, but on Monday 4th Sept. received email from hotel cancelling my booking stating that as a result of a fire they were unable to trade. I checked their website and no mention of any problem, I also checked the local Hereford press and again no mention of a fire. I have tried phoning and emailing for some explanation but without response. I note from Facebook postings we are not the only people affected. Perhaps the hotel might like to respond through Tripadvisor.

Very idyllic manor house hotel set in beautiful English countryside. If you enjoy a quiet location surrounded by nature then this is the place for you. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast hit the spot. Would recommend the hotel if you are in the Herefordshire area.

Very disappointing- lights in room didn't work. Overlooking Old sheds and dustbins. Shower, just a dribble, light over basin flashed on and off all the time like morse code. Toilet seat swung around when used. Cheapest toilet paper possible. The two ladies on evening Reception were a delight

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the bridal suite at no extra cost which was a very pleasant surprise! The room was enormous and beautifully decorated. The views were absolutely glorious. Very comfy four poster bed. Tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water were provided. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Dinner in the Blue Room was lovely, well presented and delicious. Breakfast was good too. The house itself is in need of some repairs both internally and externally but it has a grand yet homely feel to it. We look forward to returning in the future.

I recently spent three days in this hotel. Everything was good, the room was clean and spacious, the food was good but what made this hotel special was the staff. Phone contact was easy and during our stay every member of staff was most helpful and friendly. No request seemed too much trouble. This made our stay delightful. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if I were in the area.

Lovely stay, Quirky peaceful Setting . Gorgeous countryside, lovely Room 5 with masses of space . Hotel is not “ Tired” it’s interesting and lovely staff and food win over the odd flake of paint !!!!!

A lovely spacious room, peaceful and a brilliant nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.Service was with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Very convenient for visiting Hereford City.
