If I could give zero I would. The fact there is no pool I would not blame hotel. In my situation problem was on travel agent side. We were not informed by them I found out myself before we left so getting to hotel wasn’t shock. Luckily we were transferred to ace hotel. Anyway: food basic , entertainment zero, area amazing rooms basic and small, staff nice at the beginning but when we asked for money back they were difficult. We managed to get safe money back but when asked to have tax tourists back they said they can’t. I understand it’s government. We were charged twice and new hotel said money from this one should be refunded to us. I went back few time to ask and was gonna do government complaint if I am right but I didn’t want spoil my holidays. I couldn’t face this place anymore. So please enjoy our money and lesson to learn being nice and helpful is a key.

Disappointing family holiday – important information missing We booked Hotel Europa Splash & Spa in Malgrat de Mar because the swimming pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, especially as we were travelling with our two children. When we arrived, we discovered that the swimming pool had been permanently closed for a long time before our stay. This was extremely disappointing because this facility was a key reason for choosing this hotel. Although the sea is close to the hotel, it is quite deep and was not suitable for our children to safely enjoy swimming. This was not a proper replacement for the advertised pool. We feel this important information should have been made clear before booking. If we had known the swimming pool was permanently closed, we would have chosen a different hotel for our family holiday.

Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The series of issues we have experienced since our arrival at the hotel is crazy. First of all, when we arrived, we discovered that the swimming pool was closed. We were never informed of this before our arrival. This was one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel, as we came to spend a week on vacation with our two daughters, aged 5 and 6, and we were looking forward to enjoying the facilities, especially the swimming pool. Secondly, when we went up to our room, we realized that we had been assigned a much smaller room than the one we had booked. We are a family of four (two adults and two young children), and the room is extremely small and uncomfortable for our stay. This is not the type of room we paid for. Furthermore, when we tried to turn on the air conditioning, we discovered that it was not working. What was even more concerning was that the staff already seemed to be aware of the problem, as we were told that if the air conditioning was not working, it would be repaired the following day. We find it unacceptable to assign guests to a room knowing that the air conditioning is broken, especially when the room was extremely hot. Eventually, we had to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. After leaving our luggage in the new room, we went out and returned later that evening. When we took a shower, we discovered that the shower drain was not working properly. The water did not drain away and overflowed, flooding the entire bathroom and most of the room. At the reception they refused to change the room, because it was against hotel policy in the middle of the night. We were there with two little girls, tired and crying. After I got very angry, they gave us a smaller room on a lower floor. Here we were at least able to spend a few hours sleeping. After all these incidents, we genuinely feel that we are not being treated with the same level of respect as other guests. We booked this holiday at the beginning of the year and, naturally, we paid a lower price than guests booking now. However, that should never result in receiving an inferior room or a lower standard of service. Every guest, regardless of how much they paid, deserves the same level of respect, service, and quality. If the hotel chooses to offer early booking promotions or discounts, then all guests should still receive the same standard of accommodation and hospitality. Otherwise, such promotions should not be offered. We are staying in a four-star hotel, and we expected facilities and service that reflect that rating. Unfortunately, our experience so far has fallen far below those expectations.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The hotel was clean, the room was small but comfy. The food was a really wide selection, all clean and all rather lovely. Lovely staff who helped us as a coiple of allergies and they helped to translate. The pool was freezing but weather can't be helped. We arrived at 4am and were given a bottle of water which was lovely. Our room key kept breaking but they were courteous and helpful. We explored one day and the hotel provided us with a packed lunch which was very sweet of them The children's entertainer was a very lovely lady. We were floor 1 and above the bar yet we heard nothing once our door was shut. Highly recommend

Stayed here with family 3 kids 7 11 13 in October. Hotel location is perfect, staff friendly especially the manager i think is name is Peter. Rooms are small but have everything that is needed very clean house keeping do a great job. We were facing stre found it very noisy at night.pool is quite small ,but kids enjoyed it splash park was closed disappointed as other hotels in area were open which we paid to use one afternoon. Food is ok typical all inclusive however not alot of variety , alot of fish.

Avoid not what was described or shown in the photo description So we have just come back from a four day break. Overall opinion of the hotel is not a four star hotel. Very disappointed! Room we were given was right outside the lift on the second floor the noise was awful especially at 12am with shouting and banging. Not what you want when you have children with you. Asked for a family room got given two double beds pushed together. Bed was broken. Room was dirty looked like they just swept the dirt etc under the bed! Not good! Pool was dirty on the first day! Had to tell reception. No slides were working as we were quoted in the description of the hotel when we booked! We were charged Holiday tax when others we had spoken to hadn't been charged. Food wasn't great either had to go out eating which wasn't really in our budget and when booking all inclusive you hope for variety and not the same old every day. Some days their food choices wasn't great and the mix of foods that don't go together. The down side of booking with Love Holidays is there is no rep to help if there are any problems. Very poor with hardly anything for the kids to do! I personally would not come back to the area or the hotel. There is nothing for the children to do...Beach is stoney and doesn't look like it is looked after. Not enough variety and can be quite repetitive with bits they had for dinner out at breakfast the next day! Pool was dirty slides were not as were described and closed. They had an additional pool which was green in colour Dirt swept under the bed! Lack of bins in the room one bin in the bathroom. Cleaners didn't take any rubbish I had left in bags for a few days.

Reception. We had an early check in 4am, and reception staff was helpful. Got a bottle of water on arrival which was helpful at this time. On paying tourist tax we had to pay by card, no option for cash but I'm assuming this was due to the time of night. Restaurant. Food was very hit and miss, very repetitive and luke warm at best. Pizza and chips at every meal, with pasta and sauces. One night there was a wide selection of fish to go along with this. Salad at each meal along with a cheese selection and cold meats. Pork, steak and chicken on several occasions through the week. Same desserts through the week just mixed around. Fruit selection at every meal also. Donut wall for breakfast along with a selection of cold pastries. Drinks were help yourself which was handy. Unfortunately we did encounter 1 member of staff who was rude regarding a pair of new sliders which we placed on a chair at our table so that no one would trip or fall. Although nothing was said to the child with his feet on a table 😕😕. Bar. Three very pleasant males who work the bar are a credit to the hotel, always smiling and laughing along with guests. Most enjoyable to be greeted by these guys every day. Pool. Pool looks smaller in person than on pics but plenty big enough when the splash park and slides are open. Was cold throughout the evenings even with the sun shining down on it all day. Splash park. Due to the time of year we visited (27/9/25-4/10/25) the slides were closed for the season, which was slightly disappointing as other hotels in the area still had theirs open. People could still use the grassed area next to this for sunbathing, which we did and its definitely a little sun trap. Room. Room 106 literally had no sun at all so try to avoid the back of hotel at this time of year. 2 double beds and 1 single bed in the room, which was plenty of sleeping areas. A wardrobe with hangers and mirror on the door. Bathroom consists of a walk in shower and a jacuzzi style bath, so could pick which to use. Unlike many hotels u only get 1 or the other.

I don't understand some of the comments here....we still went with the recommendation of the lady in the tourist office. We didn't expect luxury, they just have a lower standard. The rooms are tidy, cleaned every day, soundproofed...you only hear the train and inappropriate shouting in the corridor. The staff is friendly, helpful. All inclusive top choice, everything available, everything clearly written and specified. The hotel is not new, unfortunately people really don't know how to take care of other people's property...damages in the room are just a reflection of people's attitude. It's everywhere. I expect a hotel, unless of course you're looking for perfection and just enjoy your vacation.

Amazing experience at the end of August, I went with two kids in tow. Unforgettable memories made at the hotel's water slides, parrot experience, outdoor pool and indoor spa with the kids! We also had a fabulous time at the nearby waterpark with the dolphin experience, 10mins away in an Uber. We had crepes nearly everyday and visited the arcade, beach and restaurants daily (all a short walk away!). Could not ask for a better experience. The staff were also so kind and helpful. Wished the weather was a bit warmer at the time, but it all worked out!

Nice hotel for a short stay, but there are few important things to improve: add hangers/shelves/rod in the bathroom to hang towles and bathrobes/pyjamas! Because area around sink with towels there gets over crowded! Wifi - is only working ok on the main floor next to the reception. In the room wifi is working only by the doors or in a bathroom 😂. No wifi at the pool! Also please add more shelves for clothes and balcony doors needs a handle from the outside! And another important note - if you allow smoking in the balcony - please provide ashtrays!
