very good, nice place excellent location

Akrogiali was a dream come true! We both stepped in incredibly tired and in need of a good rest and this was the most recharging, fun experience we could have wished for! The rooms are very spacious, incredibly clean with nice balconies andtl the comfiest beds ever, and up there in the top 10 most powerful showers we've ever encountered in a hotel. The beach is beautiful - sandy, with no rocks in sight, incredibly clean water, and gorgeous views that made for breathtakingly picturesque sunsets. The highlight of our stay though was the team working there - the most amazing people that we genuinely miss since we've returned home. Elizabeth graciously accommodated our check-in and organised birthday surprises. The whole team behind the bar - Matina, Maria, Besem, Giorgos, and Ivana were truly exceptional. The energy, the warmth, the amazing care filled our days with so much joy and we are thoroughly grateful to them. Lula who owns the place is one of the most magical people that we've ever met. She is very warm, genuinely kind, someone who is running a very busy and popular hotel, but also finds the time to connect with guests and put a smile on everyone's face (with lots of amazing and fun outfits, little jokes and dances). Great room with super soft pillows and convenient kitchenette. Excellent private beach with loungers. Friendly and welcoming staff.

This is the third time we have stayed here and we will be returning next year. It’s a great location in between Malia and Stallis and on the beach front. The hotel is very clean, bright and modern. They have built a brand new reception area this year. The pool area is really nice and the bar and restaurant is great for daytime drinks and food, the food has improved a lot since last year. The staff are friendly. The only real negative is the sunbed situation. People reserve the sunbeds around the pool really early (as they are free) and unless you play the game and reserve before 7am then you don’t get a sunbed and sit on the beach (where you pay). You should not have to do this but there are a lot of Dutch and Germans in the hotel so they do this everyday and you see them on the same sunbeds all holiday. Everything else is great, our room is amazing. We book seafront Deluxe apartment and it has amazing views of the ocean and is spacious and modern. We’ve already booked for next year and love the accommodation and the fact you can walk to the amazing Old Town restaurants and into Stallis too. They said they are renovating the pool area for next year so will be interesting to see how that looks.

Very friendly hotel. The owner is always around and helps with all day by day question and issues (if any). The hotel and bar is on the beach and very comfortable.

Located right next to the beach, this is probably the best hotel in Crete! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotless clean. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We’ve been here for 8 wonderful days, so highly recommended 😊

Really nice beach hotel, with a lovely pool and bar. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Dining options are limited but ok if you're not looking for anything out of the ordinary. We were there at the start of the holiday season, and unfortunately there were problems with the air-conditioning and the refrigerator. I'm sure these would have been rectified for the next guests.

What can I say: what a lovely place and so kind people…. Due to technical problems of the plane we only ari ed at 330am! In the hotel, we called mrs Lula and 5 min later she was there with a big smile in the middle of the night 😍 we were very grateful! And the appartement had a nice terrace on the pool, where you can drink and eat from 9 till 9, swimming pool has a good size and the see is 30 meters away We really recommend this place!

This is the second time we have stayed here and we are already booked for a third time next September. The main reason we love this place is the location. If you have the seafront rooms you get amazing views of the ocean and pool. The rooms have everything you need and the apartment we have has a large lounge area and separate bedroom. The shower is huge and the facilities are great. There is a pool area that has a number of sunbeds and seats. We always tend to have a sunbed on the beach. You have to pay for sunbeds but most hotels along the front do the same. We didn’t eat in the restaurant or drink in the bar but will give it a try next year. If you are looking for a great location that allows you to get into Old Town, Malia and Stalis then this is a perfect location.
