Whilst an old style motel, the mini fridge was full...lots of hot water...good size TV. The bed was a little hard for me but everything clean. Shower over bath in my room which isn't always a good option for older people. Good value overall.

Extremely quiet, despite lots of guests and being close to main road. Hot water in shower took awhile to arrive but was hot when it did and excellent shower head.

google maps had trouble finding it initially, took me to the wrong street but after a second search took me to the right place.

Everything was nice apart from the linen. Room cosy, mini bar good selections but no prices. Bathroom fantastic Sheets had dog hair?? but also human hair on them.

Convenient location for our visit, not the most comfortable bed, well stocked fridge if desired. Good heating on a cold night.

A pleasant place to stay when visiting the High Country and surroundings. Close to the town centre, shops and eateries (10 minutes walk). Solid brick construction means quiet rooms and generous space. Rooms are fully equipped and provide minibar services if required. Located just off the Maroondah Highway (High St), there is good access to wherever you wish to go. There is a Visitor Information Centre across the road from the Motel and two good bistros on the next street corner. Mansfield supports two large supermarkets and a medium sized variety store, together with outfitters for the high country pursuits of walking, mountain bikes and skiing. And an abundance of good cafes for the coffee and cake hit.

I stayed in Mansfield for a few days a while ago and booked to stay at Mansfield Valley Motor Inn, as it is close to town but in a quiet spot. Check-in was a breeze, no problems there. I was shocked, however, upon entering my studio room. It looked like it had not had a single update since the 1970's, with the exception of the installation reverse-cycle air conditioning above the doorway. The timber bench and wardrobe looked well overdue for replacing/updating, while the tiles in the bathroom were very old, cracked and also quite mouldy in the shower. The bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows weren't much better, meaning I slept very little for the duration of the stay. The room was also very poorly insulated thanks to its brick interior walls. For the price I paid, I expected much more than this. Overall, this place is dreadfully outdated, very uncomfortable and does not leave you feeling refreshed or relaxed after having stayed there. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at the Mansfield Valley Motor Inn and were pleasantly surprised. The man at check in was very friendly and professional and the room was spotless. There were extra towels and even a fully stocked mini bar! Outside there was a lovely little courtyard area with a table and, once again, it was very tidy and well maintained. It was only a short walk into town. We are often in the area and will definitely stay again. Very impressed!

Friendly staff . It was clean and comfortable. A good solid country stay. Could walk or ride our bike into town. The Visitors info centre is close by and the start of the rail trail is there as well. There are little packs of biscuits to have with tea.
